tchk
I don't know if this is of any value to anyone, but I thought I might mention it. She's not my fiancée, really; I am more than twice her age and think I talked her out of it. She will come over for 10 days. She went to Witthayu with the following documents (I quote her): 1. Passport/ 1 copy 2. Visa aplication 3. Letter of invitation 4. 1 Photo 5. ID card/ 1 copy 6. Electronic Ticket 7. Health Insurance 8. Passbook copy 9. Letter from my boss ( for warranty about my job) She got to the gate at 7.00 because the number of visitors is limited to 80 per day. Got a number for 9am and submitted the documents. Was told "Come back tomorrow to pick up the visa" which she did. Mind you it may have helped that she works for the Royal Thai Police. My guess is that the Embassy just wants to be sure she will go back home again. My 2 baths'.
dr_Pat_Pong
A full time job with the Government gives them confidence that there's a compelling reason for the applicant to return to Thailand after the visit.
