DefaultName
Thanks, this appears to be an estate agent though, not a solicitor?

Thailand has lawyers rather than solicitors. Condo purchase in Thailand is quite straightforward and the land office (normally) wont do the transfer unless the ownership papers are in order. They also handle the verifications of identity and the existence of the debt-free certificate, the ratio declaration and the FET form (where applicable). Only three parties are really needed: buyer, seller and land office. Even if you do employ a lawyer he is unlikely to do any serious verifications of anything, or indeed to accept any responsibility if it all goes wrong. This is why many people just let the real estate agent do it as part of the job of selling the condo. If you still want to use a lawyer then bear in mind that for the little they will do a few thousand Baht should cover their charge. Though plenty here will ask for many times that. DefaultName
Thanks, I'm planning to browse the notice boards in a few condo blocks I fancy, rather than use a real estate agent, hence solicitor lawyer (thanks for that).
