Why is TV not reporting on the new visa category for residents of 19 countries, as published in the Royal Gazette?

Do you mean the 10/5 year visas for retirement. There was topic posted about them a couple of weeks ago.

yes...it seems to be an emerging policy to encourage a new type of residence for non-Thais (with ability to pay) based on my (lay) interpretation

It is only for 14 countries. No mention of medical treatment.

The latest press release includes Myanmar, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Vietnam and the People's Republic of China.

 

In other words, 19 countries

I have seen no press release about it.

It is a ministerial order that goes into effect 60 days from when it was posted in the royal gazette.
