Can any one please give me directions / address / phone number of a Khon Kaen vehicle road tax office nearest to the KK University .

Are you looking for the government office or just a private workshop/insurance agent that would do the job of tax paying/insurance for a fee?

I am aware of only one DLT office in KK city.

(I remember a remark somewhere about a second office)

There is one on the road to the airport. Past the Bangkok hospital and thebig university onthe right hand side. The building is set back from the large entrance gate.  Do not know a ohone number.

Can't help with a shop near the uni.

Many of those are not found on the internet.

Just for info office 2 is on highway 2 about 9 9 9km  past the ring road turn off twds udon thani.

It's actually a little more than 6 km past the ring road where you have to exit for the office.

Yes thats why i said 9km. Gets very busy there mind. Just before the turning for it on the left is an MOT station handy and they sell compulsary insurance.

Was up at number 2 yesterday tax and car passport

 There a notice up that all government transport offices will be closed 31st july to 3rd August for a computer software update.

That would be important information!

I just try to verify.

There seems to be a complete computer shutdown today (29) and tomorrow (30).

And tax payment via the counter is not possible until August 2.

Normal operation from August 3.

Lots of work going on up there all changed. Upstairs for tax and everything else now.

 

Going down from the university on Mittrapap road, there's a great place on the left, 50 yards before Lang Sung Ratchagan. I've used here for years. If you don't speak Thai, there's a fluent English woman there.
