January 2, 200719 yr Only in Britain would you run 110 meters instead of 100. Nice story though. Actually Meadish 110m is near as dammit 100 yards which would have been a normal sprint race distance in the UK in the not too distant past. Bet he bought himself a pint with pounds shillings and pence after the race.

When I was last there ( which was a long, long time ago) 110m = 120 yards. On the other hand, 100m = 110 yards (approx). jack
