Want to take whole family (three adults, 3 kids) to a resort in the mountains a few KM out of CR for 24 / 25 December. Preferably with pool.

Canary Natural Resort is about as nice as it gets.

Not sure what price range you're looking at though.

A-Star Phulare Valley north of the city was nice with big chalets, some with two double rooms.

Phulare Valley is about 10kms north and Canary Natural is about 20kms south.

Canary is on the road to Khun Korn falls, a great safe hike suited to all the family.
