Just visited with some US servicemen doing training with Thai troops. They are regularly stationed out of Japan. Our conversation quickly turned to college football. He mentioned the AFRTS so I checked out their website.

It seems the Euro and Pacific satellites reach Thailand and require a special receiver and decoder. Anyone have info as 32 English channels with a bundle of sporting events would be just what the doctor ordered? Anything out there asan alternative to AFRTS?

DirectV and DSL - two Christmas wishes. How soon will Thai technology embrace these? Anyone successful viewing sporting video on Yahoo, or are the speeds too slow?
