Anyone else heard these rumours. The SET has plunged 20 plus points this moning on account of these bombs

Shere rubbish or plausable theory ?

Bombing in BKK might affect SET investment

Sukit Udomsirikul (สุกิจ อุดมศิริกุล), the assistant managing director of the Siam City Securities Co.,Ltd., revealed that shares in today’s morning trade of the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) might be lowered as investors are concerned about the bomb blasts in Bangkok on New Year’s Eve. However, he said investors will soon regain confidence as they believe that the government can control the situation.

On December 19, 2006, two weeks earlier of the bombings, the Bank of Thailand announced an imposition of a 30-per-cent reserve on all foreign capital inflows, resulting in the biggest fall of the stock market in 30 years.

Mr Sukit said he is still optimistic about today’s trade.

Islam: if shit happens, it is the will of Allah

Catholicism: if shit happens, you deserve it

Judaism: why does this shit always happen to us?

Atheism: I don't believe this shit

Well, instability here in LOS doesn't hurt Vietnam or some of Thailand's other competitors for foreign investment. How far would other countries go to increase their share of the global economic pie? Is it the future?
