Thammarat Thadaphrom

BANGKOK, 5th August 2017 (NNT) – Passengers at Hualampphong Station in the capital city were yesterday treated to a free meal in celebration of Mother’s Day on August 12th.

The Bangkok Railway Station, known to the locals as Hualampphong Station, together with the National Council on Social Welfare of Thailand and the State Railway of Thailand, treated 2,000 passengers to a free lunch from 10 am to 1 pm on Friday.

The charitable event was to celebrate Mother’s Day and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s birthday on August 12th. Her Majesty is regarded as the mother of all Thais.

Her Majesty once said, “Lunch is an important meal during the day because it gives people energy to carry out their daily activities.”
