Nice video, would be interesting to see a video from 77 and 67. The smiles on the

faces of people seemed genuine and not a mobile phone in sight. lol.

Ah, that brought back a few memories. Breakfast was 10 baht. 1 baht extra for water!! Those water melons were about 5 baht each!! The haircut, including shampoo, was 40-50 baht!!!

Yes as others have said the smiles look very genuine, without knocking the vid which is very interesting, cameras and lenses have come a long way since then, even the ubiquitous smart phone would be clearer than on this vid!

many of the smiles are genuine now.......  some of you boys are just old and cynical ;)

Thanks for sharing the video.

It was great to see people faces, smiles, and having conversations; while @ the table.

Unlike today, where each table has at least one person looking at their phone/tablet.

Miss those days, when people actually interacted with each-other.

Lived in Hua Hin for seven years, and it looked almost the same in early 2000.

Moved away, and everything changed quickly there,

but still have a lot of the same layout as viewed on the video...

with people working the same kind of jobs as in the videos.

When people say Thailand will never change!

I wish in many ways, they were right,

and viewing this video, I can remember how simple life was there,

before things started changing, it's sad, for what has been lost along the way.

Since I can't see how things that did change, were for the better really.
