Its all old news and scaremongering

Ok so let's say it is scaremongering.  Wouldn't be the first time concerning Brexit, just ask Farage.  So who is the scaremongering supposed to be scaring?  The EU or the British public?

An apple picked from a British apple tree then costs 1 pound, because of the high wage level for British fruit growers.
An apple picked from a Polish apple tree then costs 0.5 pounds, because of the low wage level for Polish fruit growers.
In order to safeguard the existence of British fruit growers, import duties are levied in order to secure the expensive production level. People in the UK will definitely have to pay more for their food.
But this was known to everyone at the time of the Brexit referendum.

A mouse roaring against the EU... Just look at the economic power of both blocks. With the pound sinking and its economic outlook bad I would not make too much troubles.

Clearly you are not a Brit. Unshackling ourselves from the sclerotic, debt-ridden,  EU is a major victory against the globalists and our first step towards putting the Great back in Britain.

We, you clearly need reminding, are the "mice" who stood alone against the Nazis in WW2 when most of Europe was waving the white flag.

Never underestimate the Brits. Hitler did - and we all know what happened next.

You should have decked you comment with cheerleader emojis. Because it certainly raised no germane points.

I am uncertain as to whether you are demonstrating an example of revisionist history or simply a lack of historical knowledge?

I wouldn't be writing the Poms off just yet. Caught on a sticky wicket they usually show their best ( except in cricket of course...they fold like a house of cards).

The French don't want to get too contented and might be wise to keep an eye on the Maginot Line, at least economically if no t militarily.

Huh? Which country in Europe, other than Britain, (one that wasn't some kind of ally of Germany) didn't wave the white flag? Or are you classing the USSR as a part of Europe?

Which country in Europe wasn't an island? (except Ireland) If the UK was connected to the continent by a land bridge, do you think the retreat would have stopped at Dunkirk?

Yea yea yea... i know the story.. without the US help you guys would be speaking German (as would I) and you guys seem to forget the Russians too..  Typical Britt rewriting of history.

The great back in Britain... that ship has sailed long ago. There was a time you guys were a world power (and so were the Dutch seem to remember we burned your fleet in your harbor). Now we are nothing... united we stand.. alone we fall.

Just pointing out how convenient it is for the Brits to claim some heroic status when the inconvenient (to Germans) fact of the Channel is ignored.  Or maybe we should award the Channel a medal for heroism?

No need to exclude the USSR.  They were still mopping up their spoils from their dirty deal with Hitler at this point, and making it possible for him to launch his invasion of France, etc..  After Dunkirk, the Brits pretty much were on their own and there's no denying it.  For awhile.  Roosevelt was even worried about lending them any ships for fear they'd just end up falling into German hands (just as Churchill had been worried about the French fleet falling into German hands).   Dec 7 changed all that.

Except for the obvious fact that if Germany was as all-powerful and tactically clever as it's modern-day apologists and revisionists like to claim, a twenty six mile stretch of water should not have posed any kind of a problem for it.
