Hi, I received my Multi O based on being father of Thai Child last year in Penang with no problems. It has expired so I will be hoping to get another next month again in Penang. Based on this, can any TV member advise the following:

1. Has any criteria changed since last year?

2. With Regards proof of finance, last year I showed 400k in Thai bank. This was not seasoned (I.e I had put the 400k in the Thai bank a week or so before I applied and this was accepted). Can anyone confirm that the money does not have to be seasoned?

3. With the less than favourable exchange rate at moment I'm still not 100% sure if I will exchange the money needed to top up my Thai account to the required 400k as I try and only exchange what I need as and when required. Given this, is it possible in Penang to show an income of 40k+ (I believe that is the figure?) instead? If so could someone confirm how to do this? Presumably a trip to embassy?

Many Thanks in advance for any advice.

1. No

2. Seasoning is not required.

3. They will accept the money in any bank. It does not have to be in a Thai bank.

They will accept proof of 40k baht income. The income proof does not have to be from your embassy.

Ah really.. A bank paper statment from France should be Ok ? With 11,000 euros..

To apply at Penang. I though only a thai passbook

But it would be in French.. The french statment.

Do a certificate of the bank certify I have x0,000 euros on all my acxount.. can work or should be the statment

A statement from your bank in France would be accepted. It would help if you could have it translated to English or Thai. A certificate from the bank would also be accepted.

There is no requirement for it to be in a Thai bank to apply for a visa.

Ok that is good.

Do original plus copy birth certificate, plus only copy tabiaan ban, original and copy thai kid passport should be enough ?

I can eventually bring my daughter to the Embassy

As always, thank you Joe. One final question regarding the bank statement from a non-Thai bank account. Does the statement have to be an "original" or as is the case nowadays, would an online printout from online banking be accepted?

Many Thanks again

Many Thanks Alphason. Because of the poor exchange rate I'm reluctant to top up my Thai account to 400k if it isn't essential to do so. So I'll prob just do a print out of my Uk account and also Thai passbook to show money going through it as well.
Much appreciated

HI, I have to make this same run in Jan. I was wondering about the proof of income and how to show it. Would 40K a month into a thai account work? I dont work here but have a retainer from the states.

Thanks for any info!
