Multiple Entry B visa Penang

I am currently on a extension based on retirement but will start working in October if I can get the papers. Is it possible to get a multiple entry B visa in Penang?

I have no personal experience of this but, based on what I have read,I believe Penang will only give you a multiple entry Non B if you have an existing work permit with at least 8 months left. With appropriate documentation, Penang will issue you a single entry Non B. Once you have a work permit, if you wished, you could return to Penang for a multiple Non B. Most people, assuming they meet the salary conditions, prefer to get a one-year extension within Thailand instead.
