I have got a standard Hotmail account. I use to be able to get all the extras up like smileys, text colour and stuff like that on the toolbar but this is gone now.

Do you need a premium account for that now or am I doing something wrong? I've tried everything in options and mail settings, any clues?

Just a guess - are you using Mozilla Firefox Browser?

The "Rich Text" Toolbar (or whatever Hotmail calls it) is blocked, I think by the Pop-up blocking feature in that Browser.

Try connecting using IE and you will find the Toolbar is there.

Thanks Patrick, that was it. Haven't used IE for ages then tried it like you suggested and worked. I wonder why firefox blocks it? Thanks again.
