UK PM May: Chinese pressure is best way to rein in North Korea

OSAKA, Japan - British Prime Minister Theresa May called on China to put more pressure on North Korea to stop missile tests, saying Beijing has a key role to play in international efforts to prevent what she described as significant provocation by Pyongyang.

On Tuesday, North Korea fired a ballistic missile over northern Japan's Hokkaido island into the sea in a new show of force.

"We want to ensure that they desist this action. We see that the best way of doing that is for China to be bringing pressure to bear on North Korea," May told reporters on her way to Japan for meetings with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

Which China will be happy to do. Just as soon as they are given complete sovereignty over the South China Sea.

Yes, Therea May, you've got it wrong on Britain's "Brexit plan of action", but you're correct on the North Korea issue.

Britain can do nothing about North Korea. And supporting Trump if Trump wants to nuke North Korea, is not a good idea. It's best to simply let China choose what to do.

This is something that is a Far East issue. How about, let the Far East sort out these Far East problems ? Let them have a fight, if that's what they want.
Why would NATO risk it's own soldiers, in a place that's got almost nothing to do with Europe or America ?

China's been involved for years and has accomplished nothing. You know that.  Since Kim has threatened the U.S.,  it's not a Far East problem. It's got everything to do with America. And Europe as problems arise that impact the global economy.

Kim's a nut that needs to be reigned in. China is the key, but has not done enough so far.

Amen to that. So the Chinese do nothing? The Russians do nothing? That means they aren't that bothered, so why should we be?

The Chinese are doing nothing because they are making money off NK! Same with Russia.

Stop the money flow and things will calm down. All up to Russia and China. Sadly.

Yes.  It's about time to abandon another U.S. ally, isn't it?  It's been awhile and we're overdue.

Wingnuts think it's a "global village" until something intimidates them.  THEN suddenly it's a "Far East issue".   LOL
