Pheu Thai key figure, Chaturon Chaisang on Friday attended military court.

It was the third time that the court heard a plaintiff testify in a sedition case against Chaturon.

Chaturon was accused of sedition following a 2013 lecture at the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Thailand.

Representatives from some European embassies and international organisations were reportedly at the court to observe the proceedings.

Out of all the red shirts this one really caught my attention. Most of them were simple minded communists(Thida) or flat out greedy fools(Jatu), or a combo of the above, but Chaturon, well he was different. He seems evil. Hope he gets to join Jatuporn, Boonsong, Sorrayuth and the rest of the gang at their new clubhouse, Klong Prem.

Why do you say he is evil then?

Do you know what was in the lecture that was/were seditious. Please share. As far as I know, he had received many silly charges like putting the red bowl in his face book and parody regarding the PM. Seditious or just the small P inferiority complex and selective intimidation. Still he spoke bravely that he is not afraid. Lots to admire of the man.

Well I admire don't admire the fact that he was the education ministry for quite a lengthy time under the paymasters banner and changed / improved nothing.

By the way, many of your posts contain opportunistic comments and twists which when analysed are wrong, so don't play the card of not knowing the details.

His failings in government have nothing to do with him just giving a lecture.  He is being charged with undermining the state by giving a talk at the FCC in Bangkok which is heavy handed and wrong.  As much as you dislike certain people, you should not be grudge their right to open expression of their views.  The poor FCC in Bangkok, does anything happen there anymore ?

Meanwhile no trial for sedition against PAD and PDRC leaders who did much more than giving a talk at the FCC... :coffee1:

So, should he be charged for that? If that's the case then I'm afraid your entire junta must join him in court.

What's that - amnesty? But wasn't that PTP amnesty attempt one of the main excuses for the coup??

I can't remember exact events, but suffice to say the man responsible for instilling a moral code in impressionable children fanning the flames of street thug riots to give amnesty to a mass murderer that showed no remorse and an insatiable appetite for power was not the sign of a "nice bloke".

That is a summary of your opinion of the fellow, an opinion which you seem unable to reinforce with any specific actions or statements which could be construed as "evil".

If you look across the board at the characters on the current Thai political stage, very many are unpleasant, many are dishonest and arguably immoral or amoral, some are undoubtedly criminally inclined,  quite a few could be described as bad, a few maybe as wicked, I don't think any could be described as evil, perhaps in the vein of acknowledged genocidal monsters such as Adolph Hitler, Joseph Stalin or Pol Pot.

Perhaps it would be a bit less melodramatic to describe him, in your opinion, as"Not a very nice bloke"?
