Remembering your V8 Muscle car........
NoDisplayName replied to transam's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
It's actually quite safe. 1/4-mile runs are done on a straight track. All riders required to have bikes inspected and wear appropriate protective gear. Even the guys running nitro fuel have to wear flak vests....in case. -

AIS Mobile Internet too slow (and True fiber unreliable)
Bangkok Barry replied to Lorry's topic in Mobile Devices and Apps
There are TWO cable breaks, one in the Red Sea and one close to Singapore. There is a delay in fixing the Red Sea one because the area isn't safe. My own experience is that streams are fine until Europe wakes up, and then a good VPN is needed. How reliable that is varies, I guess related to the number of people now forced to use the alternative routes which might become overloaded. I've used several countries in Europe. If one isn't good, then I try another. For UK stuff I've been advised by my IPTV service not to use the UK servers. -
Conservative Anxiety Peaks Ahead of Crucial Local Elections

After he was turned away he had to fetch his driver's license: Writing in his Daily Mail column, he said: "I want to pay a particular tribute to the three villagers who on Thursday rightly turned me away when I appeared in the polling station with nothing to prove my identity except the sleeve of my copy of Prospect magazine, on which my name and address had been printed. "I showed it to them and they looked very dubious… within minutes I was back with my driving licence and voted Tory." https://news.sky.com/story/boris-johnson-pays-tribute-to-polling-station-staff-who-refused-to-let-him-vote-without-photo-id-13128674 -

I did not refer to any question, I was responding to the (off topic) comment below. I do not see a question mark. -
If camera is a priority, good to research what is being used. Google Pixel stopped a couple version back, from using Sony sensors. 6, 7 & 8 use Samsung, I think. Not sure if they still do, but Apple iPhones also use/used Sony camera sensors. My mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras are also Sony. So I tend to stick with what I know & trust.

AIS Mobile Internet too slow (and True fiber unreliable)
KhunBENQ replied to Lorry's topic in Mobile Devices and Apps
Seems the cable (SEA-ME-WE 5) has not been repaired yet. Might take another two weeks. Look forward to first quarter 2025. SEA-ME-WE 6 has just landed in Marseille, 130 Tbps will be added ☺️ On the other hand I would still believe that a proper VPN (no free garbage) to Singapore could help. Can't count how many cable landings there are (more than 30 roughly). -
Not I. You are the man in the know.

Why not explain it? If Los Angeles depends on Phoenix for power when it rains, vice-versa, then both have to have the capacity for both. -

Give me the product name. Hope you don't mean investment bonds, because they have no maturity date. They are sometimes to referred to as life insurance bonds and thats what you are incorrectly referring to, no doubt. -

Motorcycle Rider Dies in High-Speed Collision
OneMoreFarang replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Anybody who rides a motorcycle, anywhere in this world, knows that we can die any day we ride. But most of us don't die because we avoid taking (high) risks. We obviously can't avoid that some idiot crashes into us etc. Riding with a bike straight into the back of a parking car can only happen if the rider doesn't pay attention. It is clearly his own fault. Good that he didn't kill or injure anybody else with his reckless behavior.
