July 9, 200718 yr Hi,i hope i posted this in the right place, can anyone help me,i want to know if it is difficult for thai person to visit mexico, obtaining a visa,is it the same as applying to get visa for U.S.A (difficult). Thai male 20 years old. anyone with any experience of this, help please. Thankyou.. Three years ago my Thai wife & I were headed to Portland, OR then we were going separate ways for a week, me to Las Vegas for a reunion, her to Ensenada, Mexico with my sister for a wedding. Prior to the trip I looked into getting her a visa here but for some reason it looked awkward. www.sre.gob.mx/tailandia Looking now at their www site, looks pretty easy: http://www.sre.gob.mx/tailandia/serv_foreing.htm In any case, decided to get her the Mexican visa at their consulate in Portland. Went there, filled out the application, interviewed for about 3 minutes out in the hallway with a consular official (he was busy, didn't invited us to sit down in his small office), and was told to come back after lunch to pick up the passport with visa. There's lots of Mexican consulates in the U.S., if you're heading there first, might be worth while to see if your town has one. Mac
