:D:D

Oh Kat... LOVING your new avatar! :o

New Thread Idea: Kayo's Kat's-Avatar Dilemma...

Swedish banks issue debit ATM cards with VISA or Master Card symbols and codes just like credit cards, that can be used for internet payments. You cannot overdraft them by more than 100 kronor (approx. 6-7 pounds). No such thing in the UK?

There is, The Nationwide.

You can apply for a Flex Account on-line (nationwide.co.uk) they post the forms to you, you fill them in and post them back (that takes care of the proof of address bit for them) They supply a Visa Debit Card, this can be used the same way as any Visa card, except you don't get any credit, money not there, it will be rejected.

When you have the Flex Account, you apply on-line for an e-savings account, last time I looked it was paying 5.75% interest AER (it always pays over the base rate) this is better than you can get in most off-shore accounts. Plus you keep all your cash in the e-savings account and just transfer what you need when you need it to the Flex account, that way, if your card ever gets scammed, you can't lose anything (the transfer is instantaneous btw)

Cheers, Thaddy. I'll go check it out.

It's the best one Kayo. Mrs BoJ got one very easily when she arrived in the UK. The other benefit is for people travelling abroad, as they don't charge withdrawal fee for using the ATM abroad. Can't think of any other bank / building society that does that.

In the meantime, in case anybody was wondering why I keep going on about a danish bird, I thought I'd post a pic. T'aint a great pic (we was outside at midnight) but it's a pic, nonetheless.

She's the one in the first pictyre right ? Stunner, but not sure about the facial hair.

So is it the "other housemate" in the second photo giving her a peck on the cheek while hiding behind a yellow post it note?

Hmmm - this is starting to get complicated

Kayo

That trip to India sure paid off. New teeth, a winning smile, all used to effect to score a new blonde. :o

Definitely worth the trip. :D

Now tell us about the one hiding behind the post-it note.

T'was just a friend her's behind the "postit"/ and not a very attractive one either.

CP, Def. worth the trip :o:D :D

The blonde sent me a mesage last night, saying she's booking a flight to come visit me here in the UK end of the month.

I need a bigger bed.

  • Author

nope, not at all.

Went quiet smooth.

Although she went out on a date that fizzled over the weekend and was a bit dejected I think.

boJ, she preferred the bed to other places.

That may just be a healthy fear of dust :o

You mean she didn't dust round for you :D Oh well, i suppose it was her first visit. Make sure you leave some Marrigolds on her pillow the next time she comes, even with the language barrier, she should get the hint :o

Calm down, calm down ladies, before you rip my spleen out, i was just joshing, honest :D

They are spelt MARIGOLDS

How should i know, i'm a bloke. I've only ever heard of them, never actually bought them :o

Next you'll be telling me how to spell "Mop and Booket" and "Lorndre" :D

Do you mean to say, she didn't at least offer to do his house cleaning for him? :o

boJ, she preferred the bed to other places.

That may just be a healthy fear of dust :o

The Plot thickens: Kayo's Housemate Dilemma... With a Twist!

(Mods, any change of a topic title change - add: "... With a Twist!" - Once you read this you may agree: )

Right, I'm no saint. Never pretended to be one neither.

But I'm not generally an arse either.

I've been on the game for a long time now, and thoroughly enjoyed random encounters with random women over the years, and, I believe, the women have enjoyed these random encounters with no pretences also.

Of course as those who follow my ramblings are aware, I got myself involved with somebody over New Years. Danish Lady, has since come to visit me and is returning at the end of this month. There has also been talk of me returning to the South of France for a couple of weeks over Easter but I don't like planning that far ahead.

I don't like planning that far ahead cos things can change.

When last Danish came to visit I took her to the airport on a Monday, and that evening, at work, I sort-of-accidentally-tripped-over-a-shoelace with an Irish gal.

She returned for more on the Thursday. But I didn't have my heart in it.

Last week, Irish brings a housemate of hers - French- to the bar. This French gal and I hit it off really well (just chatting), leaving Irish gal unsure.

French gal returned alone on Saturday to the bar, but Yours truly was incapacitated by booze - walked her home, and that was that.

Last night, they both came to the bar, and cut a long story short, French tells Irish that she likes me, and Irish gets too drunk and storms off in a huff, leaving French and me together, and I close and take her back to mine and we had an outstandingly wonderful and interesting night.

So here's the thing:

In the process, I'm gonna end up having broken two people's homes:

I should Break Up With Danish. If I don't I'm a bastard.

But she's booked a flight already. Should I do so face to face? Should I offer her a great weekend, and then... ?

Either way she's gonna get hurt, and I think it best sooner rather than later.

She doesn't deserve this.

Irish gal isn't best impressed with me, but more importantly, she isn't best impressed with French, her housemate and friend. I have absolutely no interest in Irish and I reckon it's best to leave them to sort their home out?

French and I will undoubtedly see eachother again. In a loose, un-official capacity.

*sigh*

<deleted> have I done?

Oh the wicked webs we weave...

Hope none of them read Thaivisa. I have to say that if you led Danish to believe that you were in a serious relationship with her, you have acted rather poorly. Nothing wrong with a fling with anyone provided that the basis is well understood; as in you have not made a commitment to one girl to whom you then owe loyalty. I am not the best one to give advice on this subject though... I acted 'rather poorly' quite a few times in my younger (and not so younger) days.

I see Chang-paarp got in first (sorry Chang, but I don't believe we've been introduced). This thing about playing around being a sign of immaturity (as in unable to remain committed to one person) is nonsense; I have no intention of ever making such a commitment again myself and I am far from immature in any respect. However, as I noted above there are certain moral issues involved...

  • Author

Agreed.

CP, as well you know... add 10 years to that... But I suppose we could pretend I was 18... :o

Ping, I agree. I've for years been single. I didn't quite intend for a "relationship" to occurr with Danish. It just sort of happened.

Another thread brought back memories of Jeff Buckley, and as I type this, the lyrics for "Lover, you should have come over" has some poignancy...

"

Sometimes a man gets carried away, when he feels like he should be having his fun

And much too blind to see the damage he's done

Sometimes a man must awake to find that really, he has no-one

Oh will I ever learn?

...

Well maybe i'm just too young

To keep good love from going wrong

Well I feel too young to hold on

And i'm much too old to break free and run

Too deaf, dumb, and blind to see the damage i've done

I am gonna have to break it off with Danish. I don't think I've ever done that before.

Kayo...

You had a slip of the pen for one night with a French lady...

Is it worth to break up immediately with your Danish Lady with whom you spent so much time in France, UK.....she flew over to be with you....the two of you fell in love....?

Hmmmm.. :o

I know: who am I to judge ?

Thing is LaoPo... It's gonna happen again, with French, with others.... It's gonna keep happening.

Oh my...

Thing is LaoPo... It's gonna happen again, with French, with others.... It's gonna keep happening.

Oh my...

So, it's not the girls Kayo...it's you, until you find the right one. The question is, will that be before you hit 50 or after :D

I know a guy in my neighbourhood who's proud he 'had' more than 500 women in his life; he's around 50, never married and a daughter from one of those relations... :o

I don't envy him and in fact I feel sorry for him but he can only blame himself.

Positive: you're still young :D maybe you should put more ice in your pants :D
