Thai Banks to be closed June 12-13, 2006

Following an announcement by the Bank of Thailand which designated

commercial bank official holidays, for the special occasion of Monday the

12th and Tuesday the 13th of June 2006, banks in Bangkok and the suburbs

will be closed, as well as KBank. KASIKORNBANK would therefore like to

inform you of the status of our internet banking services during these

holidays, as follows:

Internet banking services (K-Cyber Banking and K-BizNet) will still

be available regularly and customers will be able to conduct all available

transactions, but the Bank will consider Monday the 12th and Tuesday the

13th of June as Bank holidays.

However, if you need to conduct financial transactions urgently, or

must use other channels, you may visit our In-store branches, ATM service

points, including all currency exchange offices which will be open

regularly. Moreover, KBank branches outside Bangkok and the suburbs will

also be open regularly.

The 12th and 13th are holidays only in BKK and surrounding provinces. This is to facilitate the activities surrounding the king's anniversary. (Keep traffic to a minimum). For the rest of the country it is work as usual.

This Friday is also a holiday--are the banks included in this holiday as well?

Had confirmation from the Bangkok Bank Wednesday that Surin branch will be closed Monday and Tuesday. I take it we are now a BKK suburb.
