Oz Spouse Visa....we Got It!

Featured Replies

Hi all

OMG I can't believe it. I arived in LoS on friday night and the Mrs got the call on Saturday morning asking her when she can pick up her visa.

We submitted her aplication on 6th August, she had her interview on the 25th August and then her approval on the 9th September....only 15 days after her interview. WOOHOO

Guys, I really want to thank all of you for all the help and suport. I studied this forum in detail as we were putting our application together and followed all the sugested things posted here.

We have been married over a year and have a 4 month old son who is now an Oz citizen by decent, maybe this is the reason for the quick acceptance?

Once again many thanks to you all, we are both still in shock as we fully expected to wait at least another 3 - 5 months. Sydney here we come!! :o

Congrats mate!!!

I am in the process of doing the same, I just hope our visa application goes a well!

Congratulations Marty, I reckon you are one happy chappy at the moment :D

Just wondering, did they make you take out an Assurance of Support? Although with that timeframe, it wouldnt appear so.

Good news indeed....and a very quick result....be interesting to see how others fare in the near future.

2 weeks? Thats got to be a record. Congratulations mate.If you fancy a beer in Sydney give me a shout.

Great News Marty,

Good Luck to you and your family.

A very good result indeed.

I can't help thinking that the Embassy looks favourably upon anyone who

has children since our application was fairly quick.

Whether that's a sign of greater commitment of not could be argued but

is certainly more obvious.

But it may also indicate that the Embassy is speeding up the process at last!

I certainly hope so.

It's no joke waiting for months with your life "on hold"

Livinginexile - you can change your username now!

Congratulations and good luck.

Jockstar, I'd love to have a beer with you in Sydney. I am off to Bali on Thursday for a surf and then back to LoS to pick up the Mrs, I think we will kick back in Hua Hin for a few days before home so we will be back about the 6th Oct. Can you PM me your contact details plz?

I tell you, I feel so blessed at the moment.

Livinginexile no more!!! :o but I like the name so I think I'll keep it.

We picked up the visa today and submitted my son's passport application. The woman who interviewed the Mrs has there, I told her I was supprised how quick, she told me its because not so many applications at the moment.

Thanks again guys and anyone reading this that is in the process, my advice would be to study this forum in detail, follow the good advice.

Cheers guys
