cardinalblue replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Cops shouldn’t touch them; they should rough them up…if they had their helmets on, they wouldn’t suffer a head injury.. good lesson - fleeing the cops and take a fall w/o a helmet….classic Hollywood -

Accident Thailand's Grim Motorcycle Death Toll Sparks Helmet Campaign
cardinalblue replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Poor and illegal driving behavior causes the accidents in the first place…OSHA helmets only reduce medical injuries or prevent death in some cases two road systems exist on Thai roads….riders need to abide by auto regulations and have one road system why in the hell do riders go to the front of the line on u turns? And block the view and decision making of the auto driver? It makes no driving sense…u turns are all about judgement of speed and distance and riders lack good judgement…wait your turn things need to change or these nameless faceless souls will continue to die or end up with brain injuries…they are expendable -

Report Thai Police Launch Helmet Crackdown to Boost Road Safety
cardinalblue replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
So the whole crackdown is nothing but raising the fine from 500 to 2000 baht? what have they doing the last 20 years? Thailand is still at the top for motorcycle deaths and injuries in the world every year there is no comprehensive program involving early education and training in school or part of DMV efforts or community outreach programs their whole program is to raise the penalty to the equivalent of starting fires…and we know how ineffective that has been the rains will clean up the air pollution but will have the opposite effect of riding in the rain and wet/flooded streets -

I just a rinse off...I save the soapy stuff for Bkk -
So the owner has 5k baht to clean up the mess…if no damage just collecting trash and cleaning the rental….that cost is way less than half the deposit so the owner actually made a few baht should have collected the extension monies in advance forcing the renters to clean the place if they wanted their deposit back (which is always at the iffy/mercy of the owner)
