Tourist visas must be applied for outside of thailand….one can only extend a current tourist visa inside thailand…. very limited options one has when one comes in on a 30 day non exemption ( it is not a visa)….that’s the problem as one cannot extend or convert….

90 day simple - drive thru 30 seconds in and out… TM 30 - do it with 24 hours upon foreign return…..2 minutes in and out whats the problem? Some retired folks just looking for extra stuff to fill their day….

Liability in thailand is determined by cultural tradition not a legal system in search of fair compensation… this case won’t even go to the courts…someone will end up paying via negotiations about 5,000 baht per head and call it a day… time to move to the next pond…

Thailand has a primitive banking system for something that could have been easily prevented….unacceptable why do they need to say refund….since it’s the banking system that allowed this breach, refund is a given…. My guess - inside job by banking employees knowing the weaknesses and flaws of the system

I just don’t see her attracting their estimate (1 million foreign tourists) to a single event given the difficulty of foreign travel and poor economic recovery… Would not her audience be teenagers and young adults? Those are not financially wealthy groups to travel let alone foreign travel…. could see her attracting the young domestic Thai population but that is not adding $$$$ to the economy via travel/spending money

The insurance requirement is even more crazy now given that the effectiveness of the vaccine significantly reduces the severity of the illness….the vast majority don’t need hospitalization let alone icu care…. 98% in icu in usa are unvaccinated…. why doesn’t thailand produce the cost of medical care for the fully vaccinated in-patients? see how that number stacks up against $100,000 coverage

Just get Sinovac and be done with it…. you need to get the 2nd dose or travel will be very difficult as well as quarantine upon re-entry…. No yellow card pp for you….

Yes on marriage visas one gets short changed….the application date is the day the clock starts ticking not the exp date of actual visa…. so best strategy is to go and apply just b/f visa expires as long as you don’t have problems and they don’t accept it on that date - then make you come back to Re-apply
