Sounds like you didn't get a good one here. Never had that issue or anything like it it 10 years. My wife is very responsible with our money. She knows her future is secure as I've made sure of it and money just isn't an issue.

It took my wife a year or so to acclimate (we lived in the Tahoe area for quite a few years) but now she never wants to leave. Not all adapt so well but we know quite a few couples where the Thai wives love living here. You need access to a good Asian supermarket, some decent Thai eateries and a temple she can go to and socialize with other Thais. She will miss home and plan to take her back each year but as time has gone on my wife doesn't even want to go back anymore. Good luck!

She's got a point. Don't see how Thai girls are any different than American women. If you can't provide then suffer the consequences of an unhappy wife. Don't have a problem with it.

Money always works! My daughter and her husband are both professionals and each make six figure incomes but I didn't see either complaining during the money dance at their wedding a few months back!

Marriage is great if you find the right one. Going on 10 wonderful years! Can't imagine life without her! She loves the U.S. And has assimilated quite well over the years.

It's not so much about beauty. There are lots of beautiful middle aged women all over. It's about them being an absolute pain in the ass! The younger girls got a lot less baggage and I know in my case it's been great! Maybe the older Thai women are different but I doubt it and those of us that have been through the wars with the older gals, all I can say is life is too short!

Didn't do any of this stuff. Just had a huge wedding for her family in Thailand then the legal one in the U.S.

As a lawyer who had done a lot of this work I can tell you it is very difficult for Thais in general to get a visitor visa. If your gf is a bar girl don't even bother. The embassy folks know it when they see it and she will not be able to show the financial stability or assets necessary to show she will return.

The big issue would be lack of access to Thai food. That may be a deal killer. Also she's not likely to find too many friends. Not much of an Asian population there. I'd say the odds are against you.

Different strokes but why would you ever want to live in Thailand if you can afford to not have to? I certainly don't!

Leave it to Thailand to exploit their own kids. The unofficial little hosts in the red light districts have been getting abused and exploited for years with the full knowledge and participation of the Thai government.

I don't cook much but the wife cooks all the time and loves it, as do I! Something new every week! Love Thai food!

That's a double edged sword!

Lots of positives especially if you are just visiting but the food ranks at the top for me!i also enjoy the way family and friends share and enjoy meals together. This is something that has been lost here in the U.S.

She's probably just shy. If you like her give her a chance to get to know you. After a while she'll be looking you straight in the eye to make sure you aren't playing around on her! Lol

I'm suprised Obama hadn't intervened. Of course they aren't voters so he probably doesn't care about those kind of blacks.
