Yet another Flash vulnerability for which details can be found in this Adobe Security Bulletin just released. The bulletin contains download links to fixes for Windows, Linux and Macintosh operating systems.
If you have Google Chrome installed, you don't need to do anything since Flash is integrated in that browser version and will be updated automatically.

Sorry, had to remove the link to the Post. Per their rules. You can see it on the front page of their website. Airport Cab Con is the title.
Oh, sorry. Didn't know that.
Here's the link again to the original on Youtube for the benefit of those who understand Thai, but no subs I'm afraid: http://youtu.be/77XXW1G6_ww

I can't see the subtitles????? Thanks for posting!
They were added by Bangkokpost it seems. I just modified the post to link to that instead.
-
A Japanese tourist who can also speak Thai recorded the conversation when he noticed the flagfall start at 75 Baht instead of the official 35 Baht rate. The video is subtitled in English.
Edit: the original clip doesn't contain subtitles. Those have been added by Bangkokpost. Here's the link to that:
Mod Edit: link to Bangkok Post removed, per forum rules:

I thought martial law gives the junta the authority to do whatever they wish without interference from the courts.

Own goal apparently: http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-30996928
They probably wanted to check what the world reaction would be before deciding whether to go ahead with their plans to charge for access or not.

I doubt very much if you'll see the fracking business go down the tubes somehow. the US knows as well as you do that oil won't stay at its current level forever and sooner or later, it'll benefit from the price increase as well when it arrives.
Similarly, the US wants to reduce its dependence on foreign supply while still maintaining the country's high standard of living. The decision to go ahead with the Keystone XL Pipeline is a clear signal to the rest of the world of those intentions and although costly at the moment, the US is not going to shelve the project just because the Saudis don't want to play ball anymore.

Singapore airlines are all 3-3-3 except their A380s, but even those don't have any extra rows squeezed in.
Malaysia Airlines has a peculiar layout which is 2-5-2 on their 777-200ERs. But it equates to the standard 3-3-3 layout. They also have a 34" seat pitch which is very generous these days in economy. Here's a pix of what the cabin looks like in that configuration. -
Thai-air is far too expensive. If they just dropped the price their planes would be full and make profit.
But since they are Thai they would rather increase the price i guess.
Yes, indeed. They don't fly to the Netherlands at all, but I saw the annoucement when they first started the Bangkok-Brussels route and looked at it seriously since I wanted to see what they were like. They even allocated a new 777-200ER to the route, but the ticket price was exhorbitant and around €300 more than other airlines so I didn't bother.
The only time I got to fly THAI was a codeshare flight with Emirates where the return leg BKK-DXB was on an old THAI 777-200. The aircraft didn't have any form of entertainment at all even though it was an eight hour flight. Needless to say, I wasn't very impressed.

It's interesting to go back in time and read how the Eurozone was reacting to the Greek crisis back in 2012. This BBC News article is a good example of that: http://www.bbc.com/news/business-13798000
I think it also clearly demonstrates that if the EU gives in to Syriza's demands now, it'll become an endless series of new loans and debt write-offs ad infinitum.
It would be madness to allow that to happen.

Seems to be working now. But the cheapest flight one way only on April 14 is 2,601 Baht.
Nokair always used to be cheaper than AirAsia, but that seems to have changed now. I can get a return flight with AA for 3,273 Baht including 20kg luggage allowance.

By far the best solution in my opinion is to stop using Microsoft Windows.
I switched to Linux about 15 years ago. Never used a firewall, antivirus or antispyware program. Never had any infection of any sort.
Microsoft Windows is fundamentally badly designed and inherently insecure.
For the vast majority of people Linux will provide them with all the functionality they need (and for free).
It's a fallacy to think that Linux is invulnerable to virus infections and you've been very lucky if you've never encountered any despite not having any security software installed. Here's a list:
Linux security vulnerabilities

I think Europe has a stark choice: either boot the Greeks out (which won't be cheap), or throw Ukraine to the wolves. In the latter case, the EU can start exporting to Russia again which will create demand, growth and new jobs. Hardly a palatable solution though.
Why on earth Greece was allowed to join the Euro in the first place is mystery to me. Corruption and nepotism are a way of life in Greece and yet nobody paid any attention to it. They fiddled the books like they've always done and nobody bothered to check the figures. Since then, they've been milking the Euro cash cow for all it's worth. And now when it comes to pay back time, they've all disappeared into their foxholes. If the EU gives into their demands to write off half the debt mountain, you can be sure countries like Ireland, Italy, Spain and Portugal are going to adopt the same line of resistance with the resulting turmoil.
The best thing that could happen now is for the EU to stand firm and insist that debts have to be repaid and current austerity measures have to remain in force. That would mean Tsipras would have to persuade the country that it would be in their own best interest to exit the Euro and reintroduce the Drachma. That can be devalued and the Greece will have complete control over its own destiny. In those circumstances the EU might be persuaded to write off a sizeable proportion of Greek debt, but not while the country remains in the Eurozone.-

Looks alright with Chrome: http://www.nokair.com/nokconnext/aspx/Index.aspx
Tried clearing cache or using another browser? Also, haven't got a spurious departure city in there have you.
Tried doing both of those things to no avail. I even tried Firefox with a new profile which takes it to the condition it's in when first installed.
IE doesn't work either.
As can be seen from the screeny, I can enter data in the departure field, but when I attempt the same thing in the destination field, I get that popup where Singapore Changi appears.
Maybe they're not accepting bookings from outside Thailand's borders.
-
Is anybody else having a problem with the Nokair site?
I can enter data in the departure field, but the destination field won't accept anything at all. All I get is a popup showing Singapore Changi as a destination.
I've sent them an email, but I don't know how long it'll take them to fix it.

It would appear that a bank run is in play in Greece with €7 billion having been withdrawn already ahead of the elections today in anticipation of Syriza win.
The ECB has now required the four largest banks to report their positions every evening according to the Sunday Times
Since Greece is effectively living on borrowed money these days, the ECB can block further withdrawals if it appears that banks are running dry.
-
It's about to drop some more too. Exit polls are suggesting a Greek win for the anti-austerity party Syriza.
Its leader, Alex Tsipras has already stated he'll reverse all the austerity measures currently in place and renegotiate Greek debt with the troika come July when the next tranche of 7.2 billion is due. However, the Dutch prime minister has already given that one the thumbs down as has the German chancellor.
If he goes ahead with his plans regardless, Greece will be forced out of the Euro which will no doubt accelerate the currency's downward spiral.

I struggled through the first two minutes of the 55 minute clip on YT, but then gave up on it. I don't know why the Beeb insists on portraying the documentary as a comedy show. I've travelled through Swampy quite a number of times and I've yet to come across a smiling immigration officer like the one in the video.
They're probably all acting on the PM's orders under pain of certain death if they screw up.
But see what you think: The Airport Of Smiles : Bangkok Airport

As a precaution, you should obtain written confirmation from your airline to ensure you aren't denied boarding when travelling on a one way ticket to Thailand. See this site for more info: http://www.thaizer.com/visas/one-way-flights-to-thailand-visa-regulations/
I experienced something similar flying Finnair to Bangkok a few years ago. I had a 60 day tourist visa which I intended to extend by a further 30 days at Phuket immigration.
However, Finnair initially refused to allow me to board the aircraft even though I had a valid visa because my return flight didn't take place when the visa expired. Fortunately, I'd already done it once before and was able to show them the extension of stay.
But to avoid such issues, it's better to err on the side of caution in your particular case.

Just to add an important note which the other posters appear to have omitted and that is that you're still required to report to immigration every 90 days to verify your current address.

The New EU VAT Rules !
in IT and Computers
Posted
That link has misrepresented the facts IMHO. The new VAT rate only applies to digital downloads such as online courses, e-books and similar. Businesses are also at liberty to charge the minimum rate which is 15%.
Here's a list of VAT rates per country: http://www.vatlive.com/vat-rates/european-vat-rates/eu-vat-rates/
I think this change is primarily intended for the UK since businesses there were exempt from charging VAT if their services didn't exceed £81,000 per annum. See this article in the Guardian for more info.
