  1. I am checking on this site https://www.bankofengland.co.uk/banknotes/withdrawn-banknotes Edit: And yes they have all been withdrawn, but can you Exchange them still? I bet not in Thailand, but in the UK only.
  2. Thx but these notes are not old, she received them from her Sister who lives in the UK and when she comes over she takes GBP notes with her and exchanges them with my wife for THB.
  3. My Wife has some "old" GBP bank notes. Now a friend from the UK came over and he told her that you have to exchange these "old" GBP bank notes because they are NOT valid any more (from the 1st Oct) Does anyone know if my wife we can exchange these NOTES here in Thailand for new notes OR Thai Baht or must we send these "OLD" bank notes back with the friend to the UK and he exchanges them? TiA
  4. Don't ask me, cost saving is my guess. but as you can see that it's easy to talk to a live person, just go to their help center and chat and type in "Live Person" or something like that, and when someone is available they talk to you else you will be put in a queue
  5. I just tried and almost immediately talking to a lIve person
  6. Thx. RTFM I believe it's called ???? It could be the max that the Inverter is able to handle (8kW) but that is just guessing, the 8 also shows up for house and grid.
  7. Maybe, but you need to type in "Talk to Live Person" in the Lazada Chatline and you will be redirected. They only are there certain times 8am-7pm I believe.
  8. @KhunLA May I ask why your Battery says 8kW only, is that "usable" (DOD) of your 2x ESS? Your Panels say 12. Just wondering.
  9. Limburg The Netherlands 2021
  10. This picture (Buriram province) was from before Noru hit, now my BIL tells me it's much worse.
  11. Indeed, when we bought our Car we didn't know it had it, and we pleasantly surprised that one "cold" morning 18c and the aircon was at 26c and after a while HOT air came out of the Vents.
  12. what do you mean by service? (Visa run? , there was once by a guy who owned a local Buriram forum, but he is gone and also that service, maybe there is another but no idea about that, ask a travel agent) no recent experience sorry, but car park is approx 100-150 meters from the border (I believe not guarded)
  13. The only member (I know of) who lives in that area is @khwaibah
  14. May I ask what do you mean by that? I am keeping the Money required in a Fixed Deposit account (oke not a lot of interest) and this has always been accepted.
  15. Get some fake ones for now For example: https://www.lazada.co.th/products/dummy-camera-i2327285645-s7867458924.html? And then tell the wife to get the handy man to put some up. This could deter the "owners" of the Bolt Cutters to not come back and you have time to install the real deal!
  16. Only recipient and amount is printed on the Cheque Also make that it says on the Cheque AC Payee ONLY else someone else could cash it if the owner loses it This is the Cheque we used to pay the seller Here the thread I opened asking about it
  17. And make sure that the recipients name is absolutely 100% correct! When we bought the property next door, we received a copy of the ID card of the Buyer and with that we went to the bank and had the bank clerk write down the name and double check it with my wife before they printed out the Cashiers Cheque!
  18. We do that regularly on all our individual ones.
  19. Thx for this. We were thinking of switching our PEA Supply to a 30/100 from 15/45 to support a "hide-away/man cave" in the back of the property but those plans are on hold because of the weather. Maybe after reading your comment, I guess this plan will be cancelled if it means that we will get a Digital Meter. Running it on Solar (off-grid) will be out of the question because of the Massive cost involved, Aircons, Pumps etc etc running. (Need to spend more on the Solar install then the cost of building the "man cave". )
  20. Another question, this time about NO-Export Suppose you have NO-Export turned on, and your house is only using let's say 300W, but the Panels are producing (again let's say) 1500W. Where does those approx 1200W (difference between usage and producing) go instead of going into the grid?
  21. Maybe open another thread about it like the "brick" thread and it will another one full of suspense ????
  22. Guys, its not 28.000 GBP it’s 28.000 THB Look here
  23. You are right @007 RED When we lived in our old house we had avg readings of well over 300 units, but when we moved to our new house, the usage dropped to around 40 units because of fridge running, BIL sleeping there sometimes etc and sometimes much higher when family from BKK were staying there. And we had never any questions or enquiries from the PEA as to why. i will go ahead with my plan and leave the export OFF the 1st month after install and see what that does.
