  1. nice and clear overview @Crossy Looking at this I don’t think I have to worry with our 140 units lower then average ???? And just in case the PEA changes our meter I will just try to hurry the install of the ESS
  2. thx When we get our "real" solar installed, I will leave export to the grid off for the first month so the Solar (we will not install an ESS at first) will only contribute to Day time usage. I really am curious what that will do to our bill. If the bill is too high, I will then turn export ON ???? Our current setup (only 3 panels) already contributes +/- 2 units a day (when it's not raining).
  3. Thx, yes and don't go into negative territory, I mean with that, that the Recent reading of the units on your new bill is higher then the Previous reading (or try to keep it at Zero as @Bandersnatch is doing (most of the time ???? )
  4. But did you plug that in into the genset or did she just shutup after you gave her the electric cord ????
  5. I just read that you bought the Watch Duty Free in the UK, so you could be easily, when you come back from Singapore with your repaired watch, be stopped at the border and then have to pay the customs duty. I am not saying it will happen but it could, IMHO if you want to mitigate the risk just come back via a Land Border with the watch!
  6. At the moment we are using a Grid-Tied inverter with 3 panels but we are preparing to get "real" Solar (Hybrid Inverter with 10 Panels). We normally use on average around 300 Units per month (measured over a period of just over 2 years), but this month and last month (since we started with the GTI) our bill is already reaching very low heights (for our standards), last month it was 191 Units and this month the prediction is 162 Units. (Ps: This lowering of our bill is NOT 100% because of the GTI another contributing factor is the weather, lots of rains and thus no watering of the garden) So a question for the guys with "unofficial" Solar installs that feed back into the grid How low did your PEA meter go after you installed Solar and what was your normal (before Solar) usage?
  7. So this month the PEA won't exchange your meter because they think it's faulty
  8. Beats me, my guess it has to do with TiT ???? edit: but that said, talked to my BIL today and he is no idea how the rice harvest will go especially if the water doesn’t get any lower in the fields because then harvesters will have trouble.
  9. No worries, but please do note that Thailand has one of the highest road accidents stats in the whole world and they don't give a ..... about cyclers. I used to, in my home country, cycle a lot (25km one way trip to work) but here I never dared it, in whole honesty the roads are not designed for it. Even for Motobikes it's a dangerous game. Example: I was driving to Korat recently and there is one stretch of road (4 lanes) that is so narrow where the "emergency lane" on the left is that you have to (as a cyclist or on a Motobike) use the MAIN road just to keep going, and this is not a couple of meters but a couple of KM's! I understand what you are saying about but sometimes you just can't or you have to take a massive detour. Another thing I need you to warn you about, is Soi Dogs. When passing them some will try to bite you so be careful. Safest thing would be to drive against the traffic flow as you will see the traffic coming, but that could get you into trouble with the BiB (Police) even when it's common practice amongst Thais because they don't want to drive a couple 100's of Meters to the U-TURN
  10. - withdrawn - specially prepared for the Video this one it seems Edit: Here a thread from an EV forum about Tesla's only https://www.speakev.com/threads/tesla-3-wading-depth.160994/
  11. Of course no one knows what the actually damage will be, but they can make an estimate (and that is what they did)
  12. If we drive over to our old village we can already see the damage to rice fields, this is just a small part of what the floods are ALREADY doing (Please note: This is a picture taken before the storm Noru hit, so the water will be much higher now)
  13. Bad Idea https://www.richardbarrow.com/2015/02/around-the-world-cyclist-killed-in-thailand/ or more recently https://www.thaipbsworld.com/well-known-thai-touring-cyclist-killed-by-a-truck-in-nakhon-ratchasima/ If you stay off the Main roads that would be a better idea, but Thailand MAIN roads are IMHO not suitable for Bicycles! (No separate Bike Lanes as in Europe)
  14. Still waiting? What is the delay you know?
  15. When we bought our Pickup the dealership insisted to have the Sr. Accounting person to go with us to our bank when we withdrew the money. She signed a statement that she got the money for the car and we could pick up our car. Their explanation was, too many fake bank notes around.
  16. Where did you buy it? Here in Thailand or in the UK? If in the UK, did you have to pay Duty when you took it to Thailand? Do you have the original sale slip? As @Crossy said you have to be spot on with your paperwork and he knows what he is talking about as he is trying to get a replacement device from the manufacturer and he is running into all kinds of obstacles
  17. wow Let’s see how this ends
  18. May I ask where that is? Because the major thread about EV's is still a topic in the Motor Forum - Motor Discussion Or do you mean " Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum"
  19. What did you say to them? Free it's a gift from Family? ????
  20. How much solar power have you been producing today if I may ask? You (and we also) had rains and cloudy sky all day long today!
  21. The water level in the lake in front of your property looks dangerously high!!
  22. We are a bit to EAST from Buriram and it really is coming down hard now, wind oke, but rains wow!! https://www.windy.com/-Hurricane-tracker/hurricanes/noru?rain,14.992,104.134,9
