I hope they find the cowardly Thai scum that pull this shit and execute them.
How do you know they were Thai?
Did you pay someone to do it?

Well I reckon Suthep has shirt fronted the red shirts.
I wonder if the red shirt movement has any steam left, and what they will do.

Eventually, something had to give in, so Chuwit build Chuwit Garden and donated it to the people of Bangkok.
He wasn't so charitable.
The courts ordered him to do it .
If I remember correctly it had to be parkland for minimum 5 years which has expired by now. He may have since donated it however.

The current government was voted in by the people of Thailand
But a bunch of Farangs on Thai Visa do not approve, down with the government !!
I think that's about to happen.

Global warming to blame again?
Or fearless people not heeding warnings?
I was fearless once...................when I was 18.

BUT this demonstration started from the introduction of a reconciliation bill.

I think the clear message from the stage should be directed straight at Thaksin - either come home like a man and face the public and the law - or stay away and leave us alone
If you listened and watched Blue Sky last night that was exactly the message they are pushing.
Last time it was 'Thaksin ...get out'
This time 'Thaksin......leave us alone'

Looks like the predicted civil conflict is ready to kick off in earnest.

Won't happen.
If the reds make a move ; they have lost and they know it.
Unless the men in black are brought out.
And that won't happen either.
i think your right. The red thugs are all cowards which is not surprising since so is their leader. With this show against them unlike last time it might be them glad of some protection which would be very ironic given the mayhem they caused in 2010. Compare the peaceful protest by the non reds with what red thugs did in 2010 and anyone who can support those red thugs and their paymaster must be lacking in a lot of brain cells. If its a choice between a Taksin one party dictatorship and almost anything else i know which would be better. All those idiot forang who talk about democracy simply either don't live here or are totally blind to Taksin's clever and up to now successful tactics. It is exactly the same as every other dictator has done throughout history and often got away with. Ive lived here through several army coups and corrupt governments but this government in my 30 years here is by far the most evil and corrupt ever and all for sake of one demented megalomaniac. Those who can't see Taksin and his clan and bought party for what they are are simply blind or just totally brainwashed.
Amen

So what do you want, a nobel prize?
Yeh I wouldn't mind one.
Look great on my mantlepiece next to my Academy Award and my Booker Prize.

Sorry I thought you said that you predicted it until I reread. The post has been amended to just disagree.

Never paid more than $450 return to Perth or Melb return from CM with Air Asia. Book about 10 weeks out.
The only problem is the wait (8-10 hrs) in KL for your next leg, Usually spent in the premier lounge; costs around $60 but there is comfort, tv, shower facilities, free beer and food as well as unlimited free computer.

Giselle
Sounds like you got a good deal compared to many other farung here. A lot don't see any deposit refund at all.
The prices all sound very reasonable to me.
What were the rooms like?
If that is the worst you are going to experience in CM then you are in for an enjoyable stay.

Damn!
I'm going to have to increase my activity before it is wiped out completely; haven't had it yet.

What I want to know is what colour shirts this new mob is going to wear.

Where is it?

A red shirt rally with no noise,.........................chok dee.
Stepping outside I can hear the speeches now. That and music don't bother me. The roar of a fire-up red shirt crowd just down the road though... that's another thing.
Feel for you, could go on till the wee hours.
Why not call the BiB?
Sorry............ stupid question.

Mae Jo would fit the bill for good mature course-check out website. They rent clubs but not cheap and they will do a round trip collection and return for 1200 baht-not too bad if split 4 ways! But also try Magnus at Teeoffgolf who gives great service and knows all the courses well.
Mae Jo, not a tree to be seen other than s few fruit trees off the course. A good course to get sunburn.
Lanna is an old course with a lot of old trees, but it has a high slope rating ie it is one of the more difficult courses in Chiang Mai.
Alpine and highlands although a little way out do have a few grown trees.
They might enjoy gold canyon out near Lamphun which is also nicely tree'd. At least on one nine.
Another course to consider is Gasson Khuntan.
Moswt of these clubs have golf sets for hire around the 4-500 baht range.

Well I never thought I would see a traffic jam in Chang Khian.
Thanks to the red shirts and the uni students there is one now.
-
I have just read that the red shirts will have a protest gathering at the 700 year stadium on tues.
It's on their website.
As if there is not enough traffic around here now.
