Report Β Illegal Street Race Sparks Fury and Chaos

While I agree with you that strong punishments are required, police in any civilised country are not also judge, jury and prison officer. It's not any police officer's job to hand out a punishment on the spot. -

Health New COVID-19 Sub-Variant XFG Emerges in Thailand

Please tell me this is a joke! With the help of all the Facebook doctors 5 years ago we all now know that all viruses mutate in order to survive. They weaken at the same time. CAN WE ALL JUST MOVE ON NOW PLEASE -
My bet is that someone in the decision-making process has connections with someone who supplies and/or fits these. And the more that are laid, the more kick backs are paid. It's the same near where I live, but with the super thick paint rumble strips, which are everywhere, except where they would benefit safety. Here this road is a single lane country road behind a temple and they have managed to paint THREE sets of these rumble strips in 30m, AFTER a tight bed, to warn drivers of a bridge that has an elevation of about 45-60cm. The pic was taken before they did this. On the flip side outside Nonthaburi Provincial court there are three of these concrete speedbumps, but ZERO warning, so you hit the first one at speed then you don't know how many more there are, if any. It's total greedy retardedness. https://maps.app.goo.gl/y57DcBTGpgXRNL7y9

What sort of personality traits do you need to marry a bargirl?
2long replied to MalcolmB's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Was there REALLY a recent poll, and how valid was it? Nice clickbaity headline, and yes I clicked of course... mainly for the entertaining answers. @Ralf001 & @CharlieH didn't let me down. π₯°πͺπ»π» -
A young lady who I know who 'dances' around a pole has told me her bar in Nana is closed Thursday & Friday. Another young lady I know in Khao Sarn says it's business as usual. I just wanted to plan my social life, and (for those who comment above) am more than capable of sober days without shakes or panics.

With Thursday being a religious holiday, I predict that bars will close at midnight on Wednesday and nothing will be open on Thursday. But some intel would be greatly appreciated.

Accident Student Struck by Bus Driving Against Traffic on Bangkok Crossing
2long replied to Georgealbert's topic in Bangkok News
If anyone wants to see regular cases of buses deciding that waiting in traffic or driving on the correct side of the road are 'not their thing' then this stretch of road every late afternoon almost guarantees results. Northbound buses. https://maps.app.goo.gl/r4ogDmX28ZAP2p7h6 -
And I just noticed that today's lovely IO even found a space on an earlier page of my passport to stamp me in, thus not wasting future pages. I love this!

Upon my successful application for a DTV back in March, @DrJack54 asked me to start a new post with my experience getting back into Thailand. In short: no problems at all. β πͺπ»π» - I had kept 600K in the bank to show, just in case they came up with some cock & ball story that the 500k is needed for every entry. IO didn't ask for anything. - I had a flight out of Thailand already booked for 2 weeks after I land. IO didn't ask for proof. - I completed the TDAC thing online before flying and entered the DTV number and my flight out to Japan scheduled for mid July. IO didn't ask to see the email or QR. I guess it's their system. - On the TDAC I wrote that I was a UK resident, which is partially true. I didn't want to write that I was a resident here. - I can't remember the reason for coming that I wrote, but it was either meeting or business or maybe something else. The IO at BKK this afternoon was very nice, and stamped me in until end of December, although I'll be popping out several times before then. In summary, all good, fast, and hassle free.

Report Thailand Tightens Alcohol Sales: New Rules Take Effect

It's simple. In a few months they will 'relax' the same laws, so that they are the same as now and as they have been forever, then expect us to be grateful. -
British Lump of Lard Hauled Off Thai Lion Air Flight

I don't think this is 'on the way back' as it's a Thai Domestic flight, or at least a local low cost flight. Certainly not to the UK. -

Almost every time I fly SL I ask for an aisle seat and they OFFER me the emergency exit. Mind you, I'm 80kg and can be polite. I also don't have a camel toe instead of a willy.
