  1. Poor fellow should be checked for mental stability. This is so obviously false it is a shame they've chosen to sensationalise it; causing more harm to Phuket's tourism image.

the phuket tourism image is already gone a long time ago ...with all the scams , road accident , murders etc ...... It will need than an amazing campaign to get the trust of people , many of my customers planing to come in Phuket for X'mas and New year already cancelled their trips. How sad is that ...

  2. yes Russian are good in Golf .....and enjoy Spas so much that in pattaya its hard to find them as they are locked in their 5* hotels .... is that a joke ? TAT always came up with so silly ideas I still wonder what will be the next hyper idea ... Not to mention Thailand have nothing to attract high end tourists. No casino , dangerous roads and I dont see the high end tourists walking down the road in patong or pattaya ... I remember taksin tried the same with his privilege card ...we saw the result.

  3. Thailand is no longer a poor country so the laws should be reciprocal - if you can't own land as a foreigner in Thailand then a Thai shouldn't be able to own it in your country either.

well just to inform you in my country , anybody can buy lands ..I even know some thais who bought a huge property there ..... I have names if you want , so before to talk , inform yourself . And if you remove Bangkok and all major touristic spots , Thailand is still a poor country with very poor people.... maybe you never been up country in Issan area.

Damned I didnt read your comment perfectly .... I agree with you about thai shouldnt be able to own foreign lands .. LOL sorry ..

  5. Its funny , in my country Thais can buy land (I know some who did) maybe its time to do the same to them as they do to foreigners here, I will call for a campaign in my country against Thais who buy properties. It would be so much better and easier to close the country like north korea. So , we pay taxes , we consume but .... Start to become too restrictive. Pay and spend money but shut up ... is that the new Amazing Thailand campaign ?

  6. Knowing how much a policeman is paid in this country

I don't know, how much do policemen make in Thailand? Can you list any regional difference? And diffference by rank or year of service?

well , when a policeman is well paid he doesnt have need tea money .... according to some police friends here they start at 8,000 a month ..but need to buy their uniform and gun.

  7. Is that a joke ? Knowing how much a policeman is paid in this country , how come he got cash 2 millions baht ...saving perhaps ? LOL well that is the faster resolved case in the phuket history no ? I just wonder if the police will tell from where the money is from ....

According to another source from the sale of land.

oh IC ... then I will leave my 2 millions in an open and running car and will go for a coffee ... lol

  8. terrible tragedy indeed , maybe the father because of extreme pain and sadness is assuming some facts , I think the report of the Canadian autopsy might give more answers , what about the Thai autopsy , what about the report ? Even if the Thais want to cover up to avoid bad image in tourism industry, its in their interest too , to bring the truth , as an image of ineffective police is sometime more harmful . Lets wait for those autopsy reports . I feel really sorry for those 2 girls , nobody deserve to die at this age and far from home and family.

  9. First of all that s a good thing the killers were caught . The second thing ..why police have to share the reward ? isn't it their job to investigate ? killing someone for 10$ , I just wonder in which world we are living . I guess the tourism will be hurt with such news. what a great publicity ... I also saw the result of the trial in court for the 16yo driver without permit who killed 9 people in Bangkok last year has been postponed .. when you have money you can still walk away after killing 9 persons , when you are nothing in the social life of Thais , police catch you in days and get reward .... something I would love to understand ...another Amazing thailand campaign .

Oh, monkeys killing someone for peanuts is not peculiar to Thailand. It's happened in the UK, the US, and no doubt many other developed countries.

well, being European I know what happen in our countries there ...... that's why I didnt mention anything about thailand or thais in my comment ..it was general topic .. killing for 10$ in what world we live .... thought that was clear enough.

  10. I dont think I can survive another flood ..my company as well ..maybe its time to move in another country with more city planing and more reliable information from government. in pathumtani area they are building a wall to prevent I dont know what ...time maybe to get help from professional people who know how to manage those crisis.

  11. its time to stop the corny remarks about the police force .... its no longer a joke .....i cannot understand why a country such as australia does not slap a travel ban on this place immediately ...the phuket police are nothing but tea money collectors , they see tourists purely as a source of income .... until corruption is dealt with we will live in a lawless society ... so time to bail , tell your friends , colleagues , business associates stay away ....go to Myanamar ....

lawless thailand... so many crooks. In 16 years in Thailand I have seen more than my share of abusers and coward acts. From government, to police/army until the small crook on the street and in bars...

been here 20 years and totally agree on that comment , the only thing all governments are good at is to hide the truth so tourists can think they are safe here ..There are as much crimes as any other third world country or developed countries..nothing less nothing more. Time to stop to think that Thailand is different than any other countries .... road accidents, crime , raped etc .... the list is long
