Inefficient water management ? oh I really thought they did it on purpose .... my house just been renovated it took only 7 months to complete after 1.7m of water in it for 6 weeks.

Police arrest 3 foreigners ............ and 1 Thai man apparently , why this title about foreigners and nothing about the Thai ? The foreigners are already responsible of all problems in Thailand , heavy rain , too much sunshine , tsunami, heavy floods in Bangkok ...... so I guess its a better title to avoid talking Thai , of course Thais never kill anyone , never robe banks or gold shop ....

Sounds more like Chicago in the 30's than a paradise holiday destination ...... I have been to phuket for years and dont intend to in the future ... there are so much better places .

Thats a good news , I heard that news for the last 20 years ...and nothing has changed .. so why it would change now ? Thais dont care about laws as they think they are above any laws , you see that in their mentality everyday. sorry but that is only some stuff I observed on daily basis. Many people dont wear safety belt in cars besie the laws , talk on their phone beside the law etc ...etc ... So for street vendors , it look quite exotic for the tourists but when you try to walk on silom road or sukhumvit at 6pm ... you can hardly walk because of the street vendors.

I cannot believe its in the top ten .. what are the criterias for such survey ? I hope its not for the clean toilet , the long immigration queues, the over priced restaurant and pretended "duty free" shopping area , the 400 to 700M walk when you arrive in the morning and unluckly when your plane park so far from the immigration ... LOL another jocke probably .

Funny , I am between 45 to 49 , just bought a tablet last year and it took me very short time to understand how it works... the first 15 minutes I already knew most of the things ..lol this is a wrong statement .... unless some teachers are really ......not clever enough.

Wish I could say the same, unfortunately I have been the victim of Thai stupidity on the roads several times.

Easy ... no discipline ...too much arrogance thinking they are the best ... worse drivers ever and of course no regulation

As a victim of the 2011 flood ( house under 2m of water for 6 weeks nearly) I am very suspicious about the announce from the government , first reason no one can predict how much rain it will fall this year .... no one can predict if the same mistakes was be done again this year. I never get any money from anyone beside the 5,000 per person scheme that exist only in news paper but not in my pocket.

You want to make money ? easy ....... Change your obsolete business class , improve the economy class , the service , the food , have newer planes and not those old craps aircraft nobody else want . Cut your fare price (ticket to Paris in July 54,000 baht return .... Qatar airways 36,000 baht return) sorry,but for saving 18,000 baht I dont mind to have a stop over ..... Thai airways is a big joke .. it has been a very good airline 15 years ago ...but refuse to see the competition as usual in Thailand ( see with the rice exporter). I stopped to fly TG long time ago except for some routes as I dont have other choices.

Thailand always believed in his own strategy , they always thought it was the best and totally look down at the neighboring countries who made their way step by step ..Now Thailand has only to cry , the biggest loser in this are those farmers ..promising the impossible doesnt bring you very far.

I really feel sorry for this woman ....

I think it would be wiser to stop to publish car accidents as it is 90% of the news in this country. speed , alcohol, lack in driving etc ....

Amazing Thailand

Traffic accidents? .. Has anybody ever seen a highway police stopping and giving somebody a ticket for:

not using an indicator when turning or using indicator when not turning?

driving and parking on wrong side of the road?

parking near/on intersections and other clearings?

not having lights at night?

overtaking when not safe?

crossing the continuous line?

not wearing seat-belts?

talking on mobile phone when driving?

Hmmm .. maybe they could start from "trying" to enforce some of the existing rules before adding the new ones? But of course .. talk is cheap.

Good Point. In particular, driving cars at night with no lights on riles the life out of me..........maybe they think it uses up gasoline!!

Far too much to ask of them, I would be delighted if they just drove on the left.--or right just make it national so we all know whats going on.

I think the problem is more complex .... Thais know if the police stop them for any of those mistakes , they an give 1 or 200 baht and that will be ok ... so why changing mentality when a simple bank note makes all the difference .Impunity is the worse ..corruption of police is the key ...

where is the logic ? there is NO logic ...

The "logic" was to make it more difficult for schoolboys and schoolgirls, to buy booze within the time window when they are released from school and the arrival home.
