    You never know what news item might get scraped and repeated in another region. Particularly if the victim or perpetrator hails from there. Pattaya in reality, remains a small town.

    Sounds pretty secure. Registered was as you would for any facility from a website, where you give them email, a Login ID and put in a password twice, after which I had the facility to log on to do my own TM30.

    Always recall the incident on Soi Post office (years ago) of an English guy lighting off a large firework he had bought, and it appeared not to go off, and he went back to it to take a look. It blew his face off. I have already had my neighbour set off a few, completely unconcerned that he could set homes on fire... there is overgrown and very dry land behind us. Drunken fools, Thai and otherwise, will be at it again in a few days.

    I once registered for some facility with immigration. Sometime after I got a message in my spam folder threatening me and suggesting I send bitcoin. The threat said they know all about me and as proof quoted a log on ID and password. Yes, it was one I had used with immigration.

    No I thought it more general than that. Elevated tolls did have some special rules though.

    What makes you think they all need Visas? Uzbeks for one, get Visa exempt.

    I wonder if that presents a true picture. Some years ago there was an English guy here who ran a media outfit, regular TV News reports in English on cable TV, then also internet. On a Forum he once admitted he had been asked to keep down the negative image news reports.... That said I still feel quite safe here.

    I think it very likely these days that they are here on Visa Exempt based permission.

    I don't believe they get stamped in for 10 years, the passport is unlikely to last that long.... saying that, I am not familiar with all the T&Cs of this Visa type. I used to take interest, but there are so many different Visa types nowadays and with varying T&Cs that I lost track. Suffice to say if agents can get this LTR, bypassing some requirements, yes we would have a lot of younger Expats, probably looking to earn money here.
