  1. Yeah, they probably don't give out free money to the idle to facilitate drug buying, as is the solution in the so called developed countries.
  2. You never know...... once you get a taste for it, like wine and cheeses, mature ones are preferred.
  3. He had a good grip on her ears!
  4. Comes up at 1000-1300 baht per night on Google Maps. Fairly good location. https://maps.app.goo.gl/v1N7LmC7GkTFtiw68
  5. Yes, you get to keep your original home licences. But they allow you to bypass the actual driving test here, simply reaction, depth of vision and color blindness tests will be done and very straight forward.
  6. I am not sure it is really more secure, a scammers world revolves around email and messaging apps.
  7. They are bloody everywhere here. A lot of bars owned by them, and every Thai TV program seems to contain a disproportionate number of them, with their simpering ways and irritating mannerisms. Some look uber attractive and you may not determine their true gender at first, others are the opposite end of the scale, simply fat ugly men in wigs and too much makeup. My Mrs seems to find them amusing and comical, I find them immensely irritating!
  8. It knows everything about everybody! And yet, they all look the same to me!
  9. It is already there but fortunately it happens behind closed doors, doors opened for the price of a beer.
  10. Was the British embassy informed promptly by the Thai police? If not, they can do nothing. The hotel reported him being found quite quickly and then it was in the hands of the police, They had all the guys details from check in and I expect they even found his passport in the room.
  11. In the waters of Pattaya bay I might worry about hygiene a little.
  12. Well my first thought too, but more like those administered by the infamous black widow types who come to your room and drug and rob you. The arm bandage is a distraction though.....
  13. They created a Gofundme while he was missing? It is fortunate that modern tech allows people to keep in touch both easily and cheaply, I was on my travels for weeks in my past without calling home at all. Sad to hear this kid was found dead, hope we get more information about the circumstances.
  14. Thailand don't do refunds, but this seems a bit much!

Perhaps the best one! It's an App too!
  16. Soi 6 Should be closed to traffic during busy hours, say 8pm to 2 am.
  17. He was pushing his luck doing such a public illegal thing here, for sure he would get bubbled by somebody quite quickly,
  18. I haven't had much luck with them, and have used 2 different service centres. They sometimes had one member of staff that could speak English, but often not and it was my poor attempts at Thai and her bit of English. They once brought one of the sales girls to help but I was too distracted by her short skirt and great legs!

Yeah, the AI translation is getting pretty good these days, Try it,
  20. Go away troll!
  21. Yes, very much so. How little you seem to know about the place.
  22. Nonsense..... they are skilful and rely on distraction.
  23. Well they mange to tax cigarettes, but then again they too can be bought on the streets!
