  1. Yes sir... despite the primary school organizing swimming lessons at another school with a pool, where a sadistic teacher made me fear water... secondary school they had a pool and a good teacher who had me swimming soon! My father was also a poor teacher.
  2. Nope, don't recall that... nobody had pools in NW UK back then. Don't go playing by the lodge was my mother's instruction.. we of course went playing by the lodge.
  3. As is turning the AC on for a lot of condo dwellers.....
  4. They boarded with a valid Via but get rejected at border control. Unfair to make airlines pay for that.
  5. Do you expect a different result? Else it would be futile.
  6. We get the local kids too, and maybe a few from nearby, on the other side of the highway. A few roaring down 3rd Rd when I was there Thursday night, trying to get their horribly loud little bikes to perform wheelies.
  7. But quite happily share a jacuzzi...... all is well.
  8. So keep the balcony door closed? They seem adept at opening screens.
  9. Too likely to have been recycled was my reasoning.
  10. Yes.....Hardly the first time this defence came up!
  11. I have thought so for many years... in my case I believed it to be the long queues at immigration standing outside etc. I hear that has recently changed for the better )in Pattaya) with a new building.. but the effort is still onerous! OP I have not heard of any changes and it sounds like some confusion.
  12. @Red PhoenixMe too please, thanks in advance. About time I towed the line after 19 years nearly!
  13. If you say so....... yawn!
  14. Well they certainly are easy enough to find in town.... not when one is not central though. Also more convenient to get them to come to where you are standing. 100m radius will effectively kill them off in town. Doesn't help with those wanting longer rides either, getting into discussions in a foreign language at WIN locations is not helpful! I don't use Bolt for M/Cs, but for cars they are a godsend, got one just yesterday for a 12 km ride. Was nigh on impossible to get taxis before apps... and then a rip off. Damn them trying to kill off these apps they cannot compete with.
  15. Yes, add them to the list of tourists courted who then become a bit more trouble than they are worth. Again this is an issue discussed before.
  16. I have seen it happen in the USA... an Indian got into difficulties at a Holiday Inn Pool I was staying at... I believe there was a sign 'No Lifeguard on Duty'.... many years ago mind.
  17. Semantics, is a used Visa still a Visa.....? Try entering the country on it.
  18. Hah... regular people are meant to just know this?
