  1. I agree having seen quite a few examples of large age gaps.
  2. My Mrs collects her old cooking oil, often wondered what she does with it.
  3. I feel the fact that 65% of them have been firmly attributed to a single cause, one not normally known in the past, warrants the focus. Not pointing at the lesser number that presumably includes many natural causes, old age related aliments and yes, some from lack of treatment brought about by Covid distraction.
  4. They really have been making a nuisance of themselves for a long time now.......I care not whit if the local plod harass them!
  5. Haha, yes good point. Years of effort to get rid of tangles of cables and now someone is proposing some new ones!
  6. Yes, it would seem so. Is this the result of some brain storming session in City Hall sitting around several bottles of Lao Khao?
  7. And take it off someone who was seemingly doing it rather well?
  8. Christianity has gone that way in some countries, particularly the USA and examples such as Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn etc. They make the Thai's tradition of praying to trees for lottery ticket numbers positively credible!
  9. You believe the Pattaya Beach tarts regard every customer as a potential future husband? What utter tosh! They are looking for a one or two hour honeymoon companion perhaps! The whole post is rather silly.
  10. Yes I was stuck behind one cussing the other day and his 3rd wheel, nothing more than a bicycle wheel, was wobbling all over the place looking ready to come off.... this was on a motorway slip road! Not roadworthy in the main.
  11. I think using an organized Visa run agent minibus is easier than hoping to find somebody driving themselves to share a ride. I read somewhere Maneerat no longer did them, but then saw an advert on soi Buakhao for Cambodian Visa Run, just around Treetown on the same side. Thai Visa Express (Soi 15, off Buakhao) still advertise.
  12. Oh do not be too sure... retention of passports is not unheard of!
  13. Bong... you mean like a cymbol? Not everyone is of that ilk.
  14. Duck à l'Orange.
  15. Used to be a small stream of sewage at the North end of Pattaya Beach for years and years, that seemed to originate from up North Rd and a pipe near that corner, close to the Dusit.
  16. There has been quite an increase in Thailand of Covid cases and death recently. I believe vaccine negativity is playing its part. I do not read directly from Pfizer myself... one can believe claims or reject being vaccinated. I would be surprised to find a US company that did not have some dodgy practices. sadly. Boeing tell lies but we still have to fly on their planes.
  17. Perhaps why my previous insurance company insisted I pay myself up front, and submit a claim to them with receipts later. I had tried just handing my insurance card over. I can appreciate if it reduces their costs, but it also reduces the benefit of my having insurance, if I still need to keep money here readily available.
  18. Yes, I suspect so if one is coughing and sneezing less. But more a factor is whether people are symptomatic at all, and if they are infected, they recover faster. Time of being contagious will very much impact transmission rate. You seem to be making rather poor excuses simply not to believe... if your mind is already fixed, why even discuss?
  19. What nonsense and rather bad luck for the pig!
  20. And is this another example of you switching your Nationality to fit the purpose again? I was pleasantly surprised Thailand was giving me free Covid vaccinations, more so to find it would be the good stuff from the USA, rather than the junk, (as it was being stated at that time), my Thai Mrs got!
  21. That is the fear. It certainly appears they are very much incentivized to perform unnecessary procedures and actions ang generally promote tests and treatments to earn the hospital money, plus, I am sure, commissions for themselves.
  22. Yes I would often bypass where I actually wanted to turn as there was a safer place a little down the road where I can get onto spare land where I can get in and then wait for a large gap.... Thais are very very adverse to going further than they need to, and will take crazy short cuts to save a few yards.
