  1. And they too, like Thailand, turn a blind eye to such laws. Certainly at company level..... I just don't see how a Boeing or an Airbus could be sold to Thailand (and many other countries), without some palms being greased!
  2. People always bring children into the discussion. Children get hit by drunk drivers, drivers high on drugs, cruel parents, etc etc. But one thing that will not, is my post saying, 'it's just a dog mate'.......
  3. Usually impacts price....anyhow, just prompting to see if ownership criteria had been considered.
  4. Trouble with cooler weather and not having the AC on is that one can hear the thump thump thump from some distant music.... heard something last night and I live over 10km out of town and have double glazing.....
  5. Foreign or Thai allocation?
  6. There is no point turning it on if it is set at 28 degC! ???? A cool (nay I feel cold) 19 degC and breezy this morning here north of Patts. I need AC in the bedroom before I sleep, it is a West facing wall and picks up a lot of sun in the afternoon and I need to get it down from 30+ to a more comfy, 25/26. It needed to be turned off in the night though..... global warming, what nonsense!
  7. Whatever you want Whatever you like Whatever you say You pay your money You take your choice
  8. You are given the plate number when you book.....and usually the make and colour.
  9. Do your teeth grind on their own in a glass by the bed? (Just a bit of fun!)
  10. Be careful not to upset the Chinese by segregating out the Taiwanese!
  11. Are these farang/ tourist oriented venues ? I didn't think there was much for the Thai visitors on that street?
  12. Well it made the headlines.......I suspect it evoked a lot of sympathy! I also suspect a dog is more likely to get traffic to stop when it crosses the road in Pattaya ... that was obvious when I tried to cross 3rd yesterday, even with the pedestrian lights/crossing in my favour!
  13. So many are obsessing about them... bad wigs is more amusing!
  14. I don't envisage climbing up and down to a cable car when out on the razz.... I nearly broke my neck coming out of the old Heaven Above and Windmill!
  15. Fantastic.... although in Jomtien it was normal to have to go back the next day to collect it. I dropped mine off at the agents in the PM, and they called me late the next day saying ready, but who knows, perhaps they had it done in a day too.
  16. When do you claim this started.... last week mine (Retirement Extension) took 1 day?
  17. Jeez, now I feel all sorry for the guy...... over it now!
  18. T21 if not a terminus and Central Festival rather than soi 7/8....?
  19. Personally not looking to be credible in their eyes....by sincere do you mean generous?
  20. Last I can think of was an Eastern European woman, but rumoured she got help!
  21. Does not seem to be much of a deterrent, I see more without helmets than with waiting to turn off Suk into Klang. I threw a tantrum today, crossing 3rd with the pedestrian crossing lights in my favour, and none of the bikes were stopping. I jumped up and down shouting 'stop stop' and you know what, they did! I think I caused them some amusement! (There was a falang crossing with me who had mobility issues ... sometimes, the locals really do my head in!)
  22. They are in a similar condition to the females they left behind back home!
  23. It varies from bank to bank... you are correct that some do not do a print line if no transactions have been made, I only know my Bangkok Bank one will get a dated B/F Update line each time I insert into the machine.
