By saying 'other than' means there is an easy option but he wants to exclude that to try and muddy the waters. Safe to say there is the Elite Visa, plus a Marriage Extension as options.
No, I live in a pool villa outside of Pattaya....little need to scour the internet to find pretty faces. Anyhow, not my comment, one I read. Been some years since I was in crime ridden Philippines.
First they committed it, then they let it happen? And yet they were never involved and perhaps never even went near immigration.... I could live with it.
You expect them to stop doing what makes them loads of money....
If they have an Extension, they are completely legal. I would go as far as to say, they are preferred!
Just read a post on FB, a guy looking to relocate to Pattaya and telling us how awful the Philippines was.... so which is it?
(Bad food, high crime, dangerous, ugly girls and other reasons cited).
Let us not get ahead of ourselves. It has only recently been removed from the list and needs time. The situation is really still in flux. Not sure it will create many jobs relative to that of cultivating rice.
Describe to me exactly how a retirement Extension has become more difficult to obtain in say the last year or maybe 2. The last change was when some Embassies refused to do income letters... not immigration's fault.. prior to that medical insurance on O-A Extensions, Oct 2019. Also the requirement to keep the 800k for 3 months and then 400k for 7. The ability to get a multi-O was another I can think of. All this a long time ago.
There you go.... it used to happen every year before Covid.. always just before peak season.
They might do better looking for overstayers amongst those drinking a beer for breakfast! I suspect overstayers are not doing their 90 day reports... there is nothing forcing them to... and yes they do pursue via records of where they were last living.
All this talk, and yet I have not seen a post by someone of being harassed by police and telling us what they ask for. But thanks for the memory jog there... must take a photo of my new Extension, just in case!
There are a couple of types of scam going round. Ones offering the opportunity to make money, others whereby the victim is told they are in trouble for something and money is demanded. The latter act in fear rather than greed.
