  1. Really? Since they were able to come up with the required money (50,000 baht deposit) I do not understand anyone having an issue with her treatment.
  2. It has all moved into my ears and nostrils!
  3. I can't associate the voluntary wearing of face masks on motorcycles with the topic, deadly nightclub blazes. You have gone off track.
  4. I would like to see hospitals in the region come together for such an incident.... not open themselves up to the highest bidder.... this was the scene at sirikit.. I am mad at the people allowing tis venue to operate really, and not interested in your excuses for the behaviour of our largest hospital.
  5. More that the biggest hospital in town is prepared to kick out critical, immobile, patients if they can't pay any more. Sorry, you missed that point!
  6. I heard yesterday the area was booming, but it was a holiday and music festival.... How about the new 'High Rollers' place.... I liked it when I went, but wonder if there is sufficient market for it.
  7. Bu are beneficial to the coral...eg in the Caribbean Loss of the two main grazers, parrotfish and sea urchin, has been a key driver of coral decline in the region as it breaks the delicate balance of coral ecosystems and allows algae to smother reefs
  8. I have experience with the place in question... but why don't we stay on topic.
  9. It still comes across as vey mercenary... particularly to us from the West where health cover is provided and certainly cannot be refused. Likely accident cover or health cover would have helped her but young people do not think of those things.... the venue should have had liability insurance don't you think?
  10. I am not sure they want to share them with us.
  11. Let them do as they wish.... not your business, not your worry, going off topic.
  12. It would tell you to watch where you are going! The owner of the boat would know fishing those waters was not permitted... but always easier to speak ill of foreigners than locals!
  13. I haven't been for some years but there are certainly a lot of very up market resort places there. They suffered during covid and could be had for Pattaya prices!
  14. As I said, there had apparently been a prior confrontation before that day....it was suggested the vlogger was baiting the situation.
  15. Oh do get off that, it is past, over, and not even the case now!
  16. Sure, just dump them at the entrance, they won't mind! Use a Big-C cart to get them to the upper level at Big-CX.
  17. Does this question really need to be asked? Laws are not enforced or policed here, and if they are it is simply a way to line pockets by ignoring them. That nightclub was apparently opened with as much oversight as a noodle seller! And safety precautions, hardly exist at all, in a place where flip flops are regarded as protective footwear, and a baseball cap is a crash helmet!
  18. There are signs of pickup... a pal in the vehicle rental business had zero stock available.... I was looking for a room in town in a few days and a lot of searches returned as fully booked. Of course the world is also in economic doldrums...high inflation, energy crisis, foolish wars...airlines aren't bouncing back so well, and flights remain expensive.
  19. Call me a cynic but in the midst of all the hype about taking Thai tourism upmarket, but is this really to be found by promoting Chinese, Indian, Pakistani and Russian markets and cheap flight deals from those places on Thai Airways? Looking in Pattaya a few more functional pavements might be needed!
  20. I wonder what the official policy is on this..... unlike those that are dragged kicking and screaming from the long grass behind their mother's home, do they remove monks and lock them up?
  21. Nevertheless her life is ruined, and if she can afford it, will require some years of painful and unpleasant treatments, or become very disabled. I am waiting to hear that those responsible will pledge to cover treatment for her and other victims.
  22. It is spotty.... areas like Buakhao and Tree Town may remind you of Pattaya of old, Walking St, Klang, Soi 7 and 8, more like Beirut after the port explosion. It has been busy lately as we have music festivals and every damned weekend is a long holiday one! I hear many places are stuck in the doldrums.... maybe Phuket is doing better.
