  1. How often do you need to show your driving licence? I have never needed to show mine 3 years since I renewed it. I think the police have all retired.
  2. jacko45k replied to richsilver's topic in Pattaya
Hopefully not with a few passports and deposits!
  3. They may be losers, but not the type to be so stupid to pay a heavy bar fine, 10 drink minimum and all the other silly things that might get asked of him! Did he stop off at the gold shop on the way to the hotel too?
  4. I have heard of folks renewing earlier than that there, for example by showing a flight booking that they were leaving the country prior to renewal date.
  5. She has quite a crowd of assistants around her, all young women, when at work. I recall once one of them stroking my hand and the main lady singing near my ear. Still wasn't enjoying things!
  6. I always drove on my UK one, backed by an International in the USA, and never bothered to get a State licence... moved around a bit, Perhaps I pushed my luck. I only got pulled over once in Kansas City, MO. The police man (big bugger) was a little flummoxed by my licence and had to call it in to verify I could drive there on it. Rented many cars on it no issue.
  7. Quite correct, Kuwait is tather scruffy in many areas. The rich ones speed around Knightsbridge in rented Lambos
  8. I was waiting to cross 3rd Rd on foot yesterday at the Klang junction, making use of the red and white crossing painted there. The lights changed and a minibus accelerated for the junction and hurtled across several seconds late .. I had fortunately held back seeing him coming. A camera and police patrol a little further North on 3rd could have caught him and many others breaking through red. It was a wild day on the roads yesterday.
  9. A two hour lunch break, I wonder where he slept!
  10. They were obviously in the mood to be home early.
  11. Yeah mine puts me through it too.. most certainly gets under the gums and calls it deep cleaning too. My level of discomfort doesn't seem to play into it!
  12. Sounds like drunk driving was all part of the plan!
  13. Always recall being in Sri Lanka and hearing from a driver that the police won't mess with him as he has a foreign tourist with him, and they are not to be messed with! We are too common here and seem go be generally disliked, and seen as cash cows.
  14. That is consoling as hearing the comment 'oh we had him in here last week'......why is he not banged up!
  15. Can't tell many a drunken woman what to do... just taking the keys is the only way. She could at least have hit the illegally parked pickup, parked in the middle of the crossing!
  16. Ah, the feel of condoms and cigarette butts between your toes during a morning walk on the beach!
  17. Just up from where I live after the stray dog feeding area!
  18. That will keep me well away. What a bloody racket that can be. It was an issue in Kuta, Bali when I was there last.
  19. Seen many many examples of this over the years, always think back to the poor buggers with condos or businesses on Soi 15. Not only the slow moving and very messy drainage project, but a few electrical fires thrown in too.
  20. I would suspect more on a Sunday due to day trippers.. but spread out a bit more timewise.
  21. Some major work on the front was going on not long ago, it's never ending!
  22. Tell me about it.... couldn't get out onto Hwy 36 last night!
  23. Perhaps you should too, the comment has been made several times.
  24. I certainly have. One case the guy used a lawyer to get his passport back off them, and I recently saw a YT vlogger do a runner on a small clinic bill.
