  1. I believe any criminal offence can include deportation...... Why should Thailand tolerate guests in their home who effectively scoff at the laws?
  2. So they say..... but I think many of us know of places that have had the chains and padlocks removed well before 5 years are up.
  3. Sounds like you did OK, and have been fortunate with a decent family around you. One hears of quite a few such instances, say opening of a small shop or restaurant where family congregate and help themselves and drain it dry.
  4. Yes, the place I know is rural compared to what you have rejected. But here you are anyhow, https://maps.app.goo.gl/6DptBf6SzBUjogSL9
  5. Malt and Cod Liver Oil, a huge jar of it in the kitchen and a tablespoonful before bed! Consistency somewhat treacle like. Didn't taste too bad, but of course my brat sister made a fuss. Some attempt by parents to ensure kids got all the vitamins and such as they grew up as they recalled deprived times.
  6. Aren't there 2 in Patts?
  7. I don't know, might depend on who they are. Certainly doesn't end up as public knowledge!
  8. Well the type who spends 90,000 baht on food and drinks yes, the type who doesn't pay, very much no! How much would one need to consume to run up such a tab....400 over priced beers?
  9. Took a while but got their man in the end...... sounds like a type we need off the streets.
  10. I don't believe they have any vertical takeoff or landing aircraft to go with it bar helicopters.
  11. They might simply disagree with the comment?
  12. Naive comment, they want self justification for their inability for independent thought as much as others.
  13. They should have letter-box safes perhaps.
  14. Seemed like a good idea at 3am with a belly full of beer I'm sure!
  15. Used to be good for cheese, and of mushy or marrowfat peas. Many items that were readily available in say Big-C were a bit more expensive. The ones that remain nowadays are too far out of the way for me.
  16. I guess you could use 400,000 of it for immediate needs and get it replaced quickly, provided you are in the 7 month window! Silly isn't it, having to show you have money for immediate needs and living costs, but pretty much not allowed to touch it!
  17. Better go back and have it rubbed out then!
  18. Another rinse and repeat article! I doubt anyone can sit for more than 20 minutes on the beach without being bothered by some hawker!
  19. They were making no progress trying to entice him out with a plateful of pickled garlic cloves, but then switched to a tureen of fried shrimp!
  20. I am very pleased to see Big-C improving their selection, particularly stocking of a good few UK products. I just wish they would stop moving things around in their stores. They may have an issue when it comes to keeping things cool, shipping and storing though. I was pleased to find McVitie's Chocolate Digestives, but not with the struggle I had eating them. They had obviously been allowed to get above the temperature the chocolate melts, and had set into a solid brick. Mrs none too pleased with the mess I made.
