  1. Why do people even need to eat at the airport ? Unless you have a long stop over it not neccessary.  Eat before going to the airport and you will be eating again on the plane within 4 hours max.  Easy to buy a snack at 7-11 or some fruit to take to airport before leaving hotel if you really cant go a few hours without food. Too many people want to get on a plane full up !  Are they scared they will go hungry ? No wonder there are so many fatties in the world !

There must be a different procedure in OZ compared to over here I think?

Sent from my SM-G950F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app

It would seem so.  There are no offices here to go to and when you go online to enquire  about renewal they only refer you to the online renewal system, which as I said before is very easy to do.  Its all done at Liverpool.

Do they/can they post it to you when it's finished,

or have you got to go and collect it?not easy when

    you live in Chiang Mai.

Or could this be possible, send it to my daughter in

UK, use her address and get her to post it to Liverpool

or where ever they are doing them now ?

    regards worgeordie

I have just renewed mine from Perth Australia and it was all done online. You can even take your own photo to submit. Photo must be good though. Application went to Liverpool, posted old passport.  Went through in 3 weeks and old and new ones were posted to me seperately. Very easy to do. When i got it back I did my Australian re entry Visa online and that took 3 days. All very easy now and no stickers in passport

And the first time you try and use it you'll get your arse kicked by a gang of young Thais who might have been doing their own training, will probably be armed with swords, knives and maybe guns. And when the BiB find out you were trying to hit them with your rattan stick you'll be fined, possibly imprisoned and maybe deported.

As for guns - using one against someone would get you locked up and deported.

Most foreigners, certainly the ones I know, rarely see any violence here. I feel considerably safer here than I did in several UK cities.

I agree with some of your comments, but if they know you are capable and not an easy target then you will probably be avoided.  Maybe you  should realize that there are many ways to stop getting into a fight. This is part of the training in several of the styles I have learnt.  Did I say that I was going to use weapons in a confrontation ?  many teachers say that Rule 1 is  "Run away"  The best solution. What they teach is Rule 2.
