  1. Looking at this thread carefully reveals that two of the most respected experts on Thai visa issues, ubonjoe & DrJack, both prefer to use Thailand Post to online. Hmmm. I was approved online after I sent my last 90-day EMS. Perhaps that's the reason I never received any return mail notification. What's getting my commandos in a twist is the recent revelation that reporting 15 days early loses us lucky winners 60 days a month. Like to minimise that...but still be safe. Thailand Post is pretty safe. Often tracking actually shows an answer (if the mail has been entered!). However, more than once, I was getting up to the next 90 days & had not yet received my notification. So that's dicey, too. Question: Anybody know if online is also accepted up to 7 days after 90 day date, or by EMS, or only in person?
  2. That could be a problem but IO approved online after I had also sent postal mail. It's a good step they now remind you by email to report. That's AI but I doubt the approvals are.
  3. Planning online report on April 11. Think this could get hung up in Songkran? Backup by EMS could only be accomplished April 18 when the POs reopen. Feeling this is a little iffy.
  4. Last time, I applied online. It was approved within 24 hours. However, to be on the safe side, I also used postal mail. The postal approval was not sent back. Yes, I'm a worrywart but, if the online goes sideways, I want to make sure I'm in the box. Sure wish they'd do away with this nonsense, esp for very long stayers with continuous visas.
  5. Latam? Ah, Latin America. Although we all hear about Africa, have not heard much about vax supply in South & Latin America. Anybody here know?
  6. Do what, exactly? Supporting peace talks is the only sensible option, along with humanitarian aid. At the end of all this--and it is impossible to foresee what outcome--Ukraine may well need a UN peacekeeping force. That can be perceived as much different than NATO.
  7. Hmm, confusing as always, even with a system that actually works! If one applies 15 days early for each 90 day report, one loses a total of 60 days each year?!? <deleted>, eh! TWO MONTHS--arrggh!
  8. I don't think there's any way to fudge the death stats. The antivax crew claims dying of anything when Covid+ is recorded as dying of Covid but that would show higher numbers. I hope we've been spared some of the mortality in the first world.
  9. You mean the US? They used to be. Sort of on the way out now.
  10. I bought a Dhipaya Covid policy for wife & myself. Will expire in May. Wonder if they're still in business, wonder if they really payout, wonder if they'll renew. Any ideas?
  11. If South Korea, population 52mil, a country which actually tests, is finding 600k Covid+ per day, Thailand's 50k Covid+ must be five- to tenfold.
  12. Pretty telling that in our Constitutional democracy the military has its own propaganda channel. Can't think of another country which has one. Can you?
  13. Guess we'll know if Rahu has been appeased or is feasting in the coming months. (Rhetorical question: Are people plain stupid after two years of Covid?!?)
  14. Not much safety standard here, of course. An oil spill in the Chao Phraya would really be a disaster. Sorry for the poor crew. RIP.
  15. Off-topic, I like them! Anybody know where I can order a couple for my house? (Serious question.)
  16. Shifting the blame. All int'l airlines require PCR results before boarding. No diff. Monkey talks...
