  1. I use it purely to avoid the out-of-province fee, the 15 baht sticks in my craw. Almost impossible for me to open a new bank account in Bangkok because of my particular circumstances so the Cardless Cash is a godsend. No fee means I can withdraw as much or as little as I like, as often as I like. I still keep the physical MasterCard debit card as a backup because the app isn't always available.
  2. You can do all the preliminary stuff noted by @digbeth before you get in the line so that the app will be in "Scan QR code" mode. Then just press the Cardless Withdrawal button on the bottom left of the ATM screen, scan the QR code with the app, then press the confirm button on the right-hand side of the screen. It takes a while for the app to time out so no need to rush. Most folk take forever at the ATM anyway so let 'em wait.
  3. There's a recent thread on the topic but I haven't read it all because I don't have any skin in the game. There's a User Guide on the new website, maybe have a look at that as well if it's not covered in this thread:
  4. *30 day visa exempt. You're welcome.
  5. any topic created by bigstooge, broke smith or scrote.
  6. Already addressed by George in the Forum Support Desk 🤦🤦🤦
  7. Have a look at the Excel upload form for the TM30 online system, at least the old one as I CBF trying to find a copy of the new one. It has fields for type of visa and arrival date, hence why some hotels copy both your passport data page AND your visa/entry info.
  8. You're right, must have confirmed it some other way. "Edited by" and quoted posts still show the old username so that was probably it.
  9. So why does the official TM.30 form ask for all that stuff?
  10. Why are you telling me this, I didn't tell the OP to "try Lazada" despite him saying he already tried it.
  11. Firstly, the poster 'bignok' didn't change his username. He simply stopped using the 'sparktrader' profile and created a new one for whatever reason. It was very easy to spot - same abrupt, know-it-all style. Even Blind Freddy could see it. Other posters have contacted support and asked to have their usernames changed. I forget which thread it was discussed in but apparently mods will do this upon request if you can make a valid case. The only m instances I know of this happening are 'possum1931' changing to 'NoshowJones' and 'Bob Smith' to 'Bogs Smith' and back again. The latter changes stood out because, IIRC, both users kept their old avatar. Also the old forum software used to show the reputation score so it was unusual to see a new username with an advanced score. After that it was simply a matter of clicking on their profile and noting that both usernames appeared in the recent history.
  12. 300 baht is worth it to have the physical card as backup in case of QR system being temporarily offline. Saved my bacon the other Saturday night at the rubba because BBL decided to take the online payment system offline at 12:20am in the morning.
  13. Why would I marry a Thai? They all hate farang according to you. Can't live with someone that hates you.
  14. How is that a sin, you're not hurting anybody?
  15. I don't 'hate' anyone, just calling out the most egregious of baby talk, ie. most of what you and Bob post. If you start posting worthwhile comments then you'll get praise, but I'm not holding my breath. Troll away bignoob.
  16. My old man was one of the first group but unfortunately he wasn't so good with money so we ended up in a crappy house in the Bankstown area of Sydney instead of a nice place in the Eastern Suburbs. Primary school was great, a nice mix of ethnicities and no fights or trouble. Then I went to high school at what was classified a "Disadvantaged School". After the first week I was like, Australia what have you done? 😱 It was bearable until the late '90s then you had the Skaf brothers running around raping everyone and no Aussie did anything about it. If you tried that on with their women you'd be in intensive care. Or a body bag. Then the beards started to move in in the 2000s. I ended up growing one to try and fit in so I didn't get beheaded. No joke. I lived around the corner from where they picked up a self-styled "sheikh" who was the "mastermind" of a plot to behead random strangers in tourist areas. And I won't bore you with all the details of LBC and BFL and all the executions and killings in my local area. Finally got shot of that hellhole two years ago to come live in Thailand and couldn't be happier. Despite all its flaws it's still better than South-West Sydney.
  17. Somebody needs to consume large quantities of a good antidepressant instead of alcohol.
  18. Why would you sell you birthright to become a lowly Thai? Not everyone foreigner that lives here hates themselves that much.
  19. "He" is facing 110 years in a Federal pen.
  20. OP is paranoid so he can't use phone "app's" 😅
  21. I like the Laz games, they help pass the time until the 7-11 opens plus you get vouchers, and coins that you can use to get a small discount on your purchases.
  22. I play Lazland too, won 5 free bags of Hong Thong rice already and about to win one more. I give them away to various people and all have been well received so it's a worthwhile endeavour and passes the time whilst the Grab boy is bringing me my KFC.
  23. Oh I forgot about that place on my last visit for a 90-day report, I was too busy rushing to get a songthaew from Soi 5 Jomtien to Soi 13 Pattaya for a full English at The Sportsman. PS. thanks for not laying into me about my poor proofreading, of course I meant "meat pies" not "near pies" 🤦
  24. Are you thinking of starting a business in Pattaya when you retire? Maybe an Aussie style near pie and sausage roll shop. Or put on a sausage sizzle once a week, I'd come down from Bangkok for that. Might be a bit expensive but, cos you'd have to import the proper Aussie snags, Tip Top bread, Meadowlea margarine and Big Red tomato sauce. Or whatever brands you grew up with.
