  1. Really? So what's this then, a Happy Meal toy? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VPQHX08ESzs&pp=ygUNYnJpYW4gaGVycmVyYQ%3D%3D
  2. You should be happy that they're bringing Thailand's endemic corruption to light.
  3. Which BBL branch in Pathum Thani was this?
  4. You're directing that statement to the Phuket transport cartel, right?
  5. Good on the Brit, give 'em some of their own medicine ????
  6. I'm only just starting. 3 large cans of Heineken and now it's time to hit Patpong 2.
  7. Why you wanna make Thailand as boring as the rest of the world?
  8. Except it's not 500 baht and it's not imposed by the Revenue Department ???? https://thailand.go.th/issue-focus-detail/002_021
  9. It's not a tax it's a Passenger Service Charge and is paid to one of the various airport corporations, not the Revenue Department. It's only 700 baht at some of the airports. https://thailand.go.th/issue-focus-detail/002_021
  10. From what I read on the internet, Air Canada doesn't understand how anything works! ????
  11. He's obviously American and "checking account" has a different meaning Stateside. From what I can gather it simply means an everyday transaction account as they call it in Australia. https://www.capitalone.com/bank/money-management/banking-basics/benefits-of-checking-accounts/
  12. Wise move and one I did myself many years ago, albeit at a much younger age than yourself (I was 28). Friends who stayed in S.E.A. when their funds ran out ended up in low-paid jobs and now have no money to their name despite working for 25-odd years.
  13. I dunno what third-world hellhole that was in but here in South-East Asia things are working fine travel-wise ????
  14. But it doesn't go to the Revenue Department, it goes to the Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited. https://thailand.go.th/issue-focus-detail/002_021
  15. Your not one of those GNU/Linux fanbois are you? Or worse, a crApple fanatic! ????
  16. I get the impression that SP don't support agents. This is based on a single experience that a friend went through so obviously not universal and I'm happy to be corrected if anyone knows an agent that services that office.
  17. Nope, IO was spot on. 8th of May plus 30 complete days = 6th of June.
  18. Your sure about that? A mate was unable to find any agents that would serice SP.
  19. Again, the 700 baht international Passenger Service Charge is a fee levied by the Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited, not the Revenue Department. The Revenue Department don't have to justify anything to anyone, well except their political backers I guess. https://thailand.go.th/issue-focus-detail/002_021
  20. Well I didn't know that so it's useful information.
  21. No, tax goes to the Revenue Department which is what this whole thread is about ????
  22. It's not a tax mate, it's an airport charge. @bradistonhad kindly shared the cost breakdown with us a few posts above.
