  1. And thank their lucky stars for such a bonanza!
  2. That sounds like a mistake, hopefully the chief banker doesn't find out and come asking for more ????
  3. you probably would get stiffed like that if the sending back converted to THB before remitting the funds.
  4. Multiple Entry Non-Immigrant O Marriage visa. Savannakhet don't require financials.
  5. ha ha yeah I was feeling generous that day. probably won't happen again anytime soon ????
  6. Fair enough. I'm no expert either but I think the owner would have to pay a fair amount to get fibre installed throughout the building, so probably not worth the effort unless the place is full of speed freaks like me ????
  7. I had no problem scanning MEA codes from BBL app until last week when it failed and I had to do it manually via the app. The app also refused to recognise a PromptPay code from a local merchant yesterday. That's the 2nd time I've had that happen. Starting to get a little annoyed with BBL, time for a jai yen yen refresher course. Or change banks ????
  8. Just curious, is there any particular reason why you can't get high speed internet directly to your condo? I'd die without my True 500/500 fibre connection.
  9. The same place as he found the "Tour Bus" option I guess. In K. Nattakit's imagination ???? Disclaimer: as of yesterday I could only see a "Van" option. No pictures so I doubt if it's one of those fancy VIP vans that I see dropping off hi-sos at the expensive Chinese restaurant next door ????
  10. Say what, you haven't heard of the Bodja?! Hint: it's capital is called Phnom Penh ????
  11. Thailand is not same same Australia cobber, and hopefully never will be. It's great that they limit the type of work foreigners can do and set the bar high viz. the amount of capital and no. of employees that are required. If they didn't then it would lose its character and become another multicultural mess like down under.
  12. Thailand is great but it's not the be-all and end-all. Go and spend some time in the 'Nam or the Bodja. Heck, why not try Indonesia, put some hairs on your chest.
  13. I'm assuming he means border bounce and that he doesn't actually have a visa, rather he is here visa exempt. Presumably he would have mentioned METV if that's what he's got.
  14. are you fair dinkum? TM47 is for people who stay here longer than 90 days. you can't stay here longer than 90 days on visa exempt or tourist visa.
  15. "At around noon reporters in this district said the torrential rain" D'oh! ????
  16. Good plan. Make as much money as you can in a high-paying country during the prime of your life and set yourself up for your golden years. I have a good buddy who did the same a little over 20 years ago, now he's retired in Thailand and living it up. His younger brother stayed in S.E.A. working the usual low-paid job and doesn't have a cent to his name.
  17. I don't think "Pattay57" will believe that story. Do you reckon he's the reincarnation of "Aussieexpat"? That guy had a bug up ... I mean a bee in his bonnet about onward tickets.
  18. I guess you don't read all the threads and posts on here. Plenty of people, including myself, have reported being asked to show onward ticket when flying visa exempt. I was asked for it on my latest flight to Thailand on visa exempt (SYD-BKK on TG, 2021-12-01). I had the onwardticket(.)com thingy printed out already because I simply CBF stuffing around at check-in and asking for Duty Officers etc
