Read once that readings of Total Disolved Solids above 500 parts per million were unfit for human consumption according to the W.H.O. Above 150 is enough for me. Someone said depends what the solids are. Yup, and the internet shows many variations on acceptable levels. Be thankful there might be chlorine present for sanitising and just need to leave water in open bottles for a day or two for it to evaporate. There are filters and there are filters and a Total Disolved Solids meter sure sorts them out. Some bottled water is distilled and 3 PPM but that subject will raise the ire of some purists.

Magnesium: The Essential Mineral for Optimal Health
Jing Joe replied to CharlieH's topic in The Wellness Zone
Interesting timing of this topic. Last night I had cramps locking my fingers together so took a magnesium capsule and hey presto, cramps gone. But have had incredible inner thigh cramps, only at night, only every couple of months, and trying to stay perfectly still for the 6 or so agonizing minutes then they go, seems the only way because too painful to walk to get a capsule. Common for oldies apparently and women say is more painful than childbirth. Gotta have a betta Magnesium schedule hey. Just sharing. -
Phuket Adventure Ends Badly for Bag-Snatching Aussies
Jing Joe replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
Sure there is no shortage of dark skins in Oz but they are not usually inclined to travel. Again, I reckon they are farang to Oz and could be wrong and suspect drugs may have been a motivation. -

Yes, agree Nemises, no one has spotted/commented this till you. Doesnt look like a dinki dai Aussie, nor behaving like what we would expect. SHERWOOD then said:- "Please don't send them back to Australia, just lock em up." AGREE... except then send them back to where he/they really came from. Not Oz. -
Giant King Cobra Startles Krabi Residents Amid Drought
Jing Joe replied to Georgealbert's topic in Krabi News
Big one hey. Its been a while since King Cobras have raised their head in this website but be reminded they are not of the Cobra family and maybe not quite as poisonous from memory, but still the same keep clear. (The Australian King Brown snake is of the Black snake family.) T said:- "No idea why people are so frightened of snakes." mmmm I'll put my hand up as terrified. -
Pitbull mauls monk to death in gruesome Nonthaburi temple attack
Jing Joe replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
What ! only 3 pages so far about yet another tragedy? Must be getting used to the sad events, and nothing is being done, and all the lament in these posts doesnt mean a thing. And there are still those who insist they MUST be trained properly. (or they'll naturallly default to become killers). -

Pitbull mauls monk to death in gruesome Nonthaburi temple attack
Jing Joe replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
HOW TRAGIC ! AGAIN ! There have been probably 10 such deaths over the years, there will be another 10 pages here again, there will be many more of all ages, but nothing will be done. How can we mostly NOT agonize? i.e. just wait for the supporters of the mongrel breed in these pages. .😭 -
Yes and I'm puzzled at the header:- "A rural village......thrown into a state of alarm" and yet the happy guys moving it on said something like-- "it was harmless?" It wont be hungry for a month or three? Agree with Thingamabob saying :- "No need to kill the python. They did the right thing in, reportedly, having it returned to a forest area far from the village. " Q... why arent the public and Thai authorities dealing with the reality of deaths from Pit Bull Terriers and the like.?? Mmm cut their heads off and feed the pythons.

Thailand plans 14 new floating solar farms to boost renewable energy

Potentially wrong if the plastic floatation method is logically on the cool water, AND depending on design the closer the panels are to the cooling influence of the water the more efficient they are, AND because of virtually no inclination there's more power on certain cloudy days, AND can actually generate some power after sunset from the re-radiation off the underside of clouds overhead. I get that often. If panels actually get hot, they can be sprayed cool to wash off any settling dust on them. -
Lots of wisdom in many posts especially this snippet from OneMore Farang. Thanks mate but its too late for me! My wife turned out to be the "madam gold digger" and threatens that if I go before her and then my kids come to "legally disturb" whatever inheritance she aims for, then she will KILL them. Yup, thats her adamant threat. 😡 But I'll never know the outcome and in the mean time she looks after me very very well, well most of the time.😕 Love is not just a noun but mostly a verb, a doing word, and can be hard work hey, made even harder within a marriage contract.

Man Dies After Attack by Mixed-Breed Stray Dogs in Ubon Ratchathani
Jing Joe replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
Soooo many deaths over the years just on this website. Typically:- Another death. Another dog. Another owner. Who is next? Yet another 6 pages coming up here. Futile to hopefully "watch this space", there's no action. "How many people will have to die before ...? etc" "When will they ever learn?" 😭 -

Thai doctor vows to create "Hitler Room" to gas hospital smokers
Jing Joe replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
There would be a long line of reformed smokers who would agree even moreso hey, and the amputees too. Years ago I visited a dear old mate in acute aged care hospital with emphasema and he barely had the energy to cough. EXTREMELY disturbing to watch.😭 He stank of cigaretes and had to go outside to smoke and they had previously resuscitated him 5 times but he then declared a DNR, Do Not Resuscitate. I said my goodbyes. He died a week later. But; punishing cigarette addicts heavily with fines for smoking where they shouldt, is a more civilized response than the proposal.. Hope at least some smokers have taken note of the 5 pages so far, and my above encounter. Smoking is a very sad, sick, annoying, deadly, adicted scenario. -

Smoking kills and maimes in many way anyway. Get rid of them quicker before they inflict their filthy residues on onhers. "Smoking is a dying habit" . Take that anyway you want. -
Three American Bully dogs maul 70-year-old man to death
Jing Joe replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
STOP PRESS. From Australia today, but too late for Mr Lek R.I.P. Queensland dog owners are being warned to keep their pets on a tight leash as tough new laws come into effect from today. On-the-spot fines have more than doubled from $322 to $806 for owners who fail to control their dogs in a public place. That includes dogs in off-leash areas, which the owner must be able to control using voice command. In fatal attacks, owners face fines up to $108,000 and even possible jail time. The laws have been introduced by the state government, but will be enforced by local councils. The overhaul of Queensland's animal management legislation also includes a ban on five restricted breeds, such as the American pit bull terrier.
