  6. I've at last worked out how to fill in the pdf fill from the Gov website ...

first download the pdf file .then on the top tool bar right hand corner you'll see Tools Sign Comments click Sign and a new box will open on the right of the pdf..you then click on T add text and you can fill out the form ..it;s a bit fiddly at first but after a couple of minute you should get the hang of it ...I did

  7. Yes send it to Liverpool

Got mine back in about 3 weeks.

They are very fussy about you providing proof of your address. Not easy for a lot of us in Thailand.

The actual amount taken from my bank was £151 and a few pence even though the website says £148.

Do not send your old passport but copy every page. (Even the empty ones)

    Lite Beer

What proof of address with the passport office accept ???

Re;- "But copy every page (Even the empty ones) will the passport office accept Black & White as copies or do they want full colour copies....?

I'd rather get things right from day one. cheers.

  8. Hi Folks ...I need to renew my UK Passport in the next month of so.and I have a few question I would like help with .

(1).. Do you now send application forms and documents directly to the UK (Liverpool Office) and by-pass the Hong Kong route?

    (3) I have the PDF of the blank form from the Government website .but I have been lead to believe there is a online form that you can fill out with all the relevant info and print off and send . has any one got the leak to this it would make things simpler.

  9. I've been with TOT for over 5 years now and up until recently have had a fairly good service ...but I have now changed/upgrade from a land line connect to a antenna connection with TOT ..it cost ฿1000 to buy , fitted and setup.I am now getting a 13 m for ฿690 and it has run for the last month without a hiccup ......you can get up to 20 m which is ฿1200.

Just go to the TOT office in Sattahip and ask for internet by antenna they'll know what you mean .But there is one girl who speaks very good English

just done a speed test it's now pinging at 12.83 m download and 1.06 upload.

    Hi,

I live in a Jomtien condo and internet sucks big time, I am interested in this "antenna" (wimax) solution, you say it costs 1000 bahts installation fee and then 690 bahts per month? Yes 690 is for 13 m

is this with a 1-year contract or can you actually pay monthly and stop whenever you want? It's on a contract and I get a monthly bill

    Thanks for the reply!

Also, any idea if it'd be available for a condo facing the sea? Sorry don't know the answer

Thanks! Any link to their site much appreciated as I couldn't find this offer on their website. sorry don't have any

How is the ping by the way? reliable enough for Skype calls? Just done a speed test 12.80 download & 1.08 upload ample fast enough for Skype and streaming TV from the UK or any where in the world

What area are you in 2 & 1/2 months ago I was told No Nong Nooch area available unless you are close to sukimvette. Cat has the same wireless setup but is not reliable in our area or near the Ban Kaow Chin Chan school area. the are is everything as Tot explained to 6 of us 3 sets ofb potential subscribers that they could only use landlines & the cabling used was inadequate for decent service. Our neighbor & I are looking forward to them servicing this area-----Unless it just started. No one out here has the wireless pad used like cat uses(Same setup)

So Dazk what area in Bang Saray do you live in?

I am about 1.5 > 2 km east of the Suk not far from the fishing lake ....and 5 mins from Nung Nooch...

  12. Quite right didn't make myself clear. I actually live in Pattaya and at New Year all the big hotels put on special events but they can be quite pricey. The hilton with free flowing wine and beer will be about 24k baht for me and the missus which is a lot especially if it's a dud night. Any previous experiences of these events is welcome.

Does the ฿24 k include a room and breakfast ? if so and it's good quality food & alcohol and the entertainment is top notch I don't think it's that expense as a once a year treat .

I know people who blow more than that on a normal night out in Pattaya ..."Fools and there money"

  13. I'am at Bang Saray and with TOT and for the last few week the service has been abysmal...on & off every 5 minute and when it is on/working it is very very slow I have called the service center at least 20 times and just get fobbed off with any excuse...beatdeadhorse.gif.pagespeed.ce.adWp7jUAu beatdeadhorse.gif.pagespeed.ce.adWp7jUAu beatdeadhorse.gif.pagespeed.ce.adWp7jUAu beatdeadhorse.gif.pagespeed.ce.adWp7jUAu
