I'll recommend the Dukes with the Christmas atmosphere.

Reports on TV indicate that Dukes did not do provide the best of meals on Thanksgiving day. May try Holiday Inn this year depending on price

I think the hotels and restaurants are just getting over Thanksgiving and are getting ready to advertise their Christmas menu which will probably be out early December. Last year went to Buomissimo and it was excellent but its now closed. Waiting to see if Holiday Inn are doing something again this year as an alternative

I am thinking about purchasing a new mobile phone and not sure which one is the one for me so would appreciate any advice tv contributors can give me from their experience. The phone l am considerin buying must have GPS,Wi-Fi,internet and bluetooth. The mobiles l have been looking at are iphone4, HTC HD7,and Nokia N8. The HTC HD7 has windows 7 but l have not seen them here in Chiang Mai but l guess that the Nokia N8 with google is just as good. Thanks

Calls to 077 numbers are charges as calls to a mobile phone, 12-5p peak rate and 7.5p off peak.

True "local" calls are 4p peak rate and 1p off peak.

When asking for a Pension Forecast ask specifically for them to include any "Additional" pension. They do not automatically include this. You have to ask. I have had 4 pension forecasts since 2003 and my "additonal" pension is just over £100 extra, bringing my weekly pension to £201 in total, as at about a year ago. I will be 65 in June 2012.

Hang Dong GC 400baht including caddy for 18 holes or 200 baht for 9 holes. Its a 9 hole course but quite testing for the average golfer. Worth a try

You can do so much better. Imm Thapae hotel perhaps, or many others in that price range or slightly below.

Imm hotel at Thapae Gate (next to McDonalds is a fairly new hotel and is good and popular.Has a good breakfast and the last l heard it was about 1000 baht a night inc breakfast, Near all the main tourist areas.

Don't forget that Northern Farms do some great cooked turkeys that come with gravy and traditional stuffing. Have bought them there for Christmas but not sure if they do them for Thanksgiving. Not sure of the prices this year but worth a check

Agree. Lets allow beer to be sold 24 hours a day in bars although l will only last for about 5 hours at best. That will improve the profitability of the poor brewers

I like the selection and the decor at the Holiday Inn. It's also big and bright and airy and feels somewhat like Christmas...something not easily achieved here.
