  1. Why do African Americans only have Nightmares? Cause they shot the last one who had a dream.
  2. If people would bother to look at the original article on the news website, they would clearly see pictures of the bike involved and the area of the accident. The bike is a rental and the current tax sticker is clearly visible in the photograph. Look at the photos, the rider is wearing quality safety gear, the big has good quality gear fitted. it is currently registered. so the bike was fully legal and suitable for road use. as to weather the rider was speeding or the lady who was hit goes, we will never know unless more information is released.
  3. I will also give a plug for Roojai. Been using them for years and never a problem.

  12. If you requesting an answer for your question, i can help, otherwise there are a lot of other opinions above that may or may not help. As regards Your Garmin Handheld. I run Garmin Zumo System on my bike to navigate and i purchased a dedicated Thailand Map through Garmin Showroom & Service Center Sathorn Nakorn Tower, 100/38-39, 22nd Floor, North Sathon Road, Silom, Bangrak, Bangkok 10500 You can buy the Map on a small sd card that should plug into your handheld or you can either send your handheld to them or just drop in. When you purchase the local map you will get a free update. I have found this local addition to be very good, regularly updated and for exceed the Official garmin worldwide SE Asia maps.

  17. Please read and digest following link. https://www.caat.or.th/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Aircraft-Data-Information_Jan-2022.pdf If you look at it you will see that there are quite a few helicopters and their are planes registered to private companies and organizations in Thailand. Remember, if you are rich enough to own a helicopter or private plane , you would register it through a company and not your name.
  18. Have a look at Kawasaki. I have had two big bikes, A Z900 And a H2SX, I found service and parts readily available and the shops i have used, pm and i will send details, to be very professional in there service. I actually received better service in Hua Hin than I do in Australia.
  19. In Australia, you purchase Comprehensive insurance, what you call third party property, this covers Your car, the other car, the hospital bills, the neighbor's cat and the Shopping mall that you drove through. As for where you can drive to, you are usually limited to the number of kilometers per day or you pay extra and get unlimited kilometers. You can drive interstate if you want however if you are driving of road you will need to get a suitable car. You will also pay extra if you do not return car to original point of hire. At present i am driving a Toyota Rav4 rented through Avis, company provided, unlimited kilometers but limited to driving on bitumen(Tarmac). There are other options available as their are companies that organize one way trips for people, for example you will pick up a camper van and you will be required to drive it from one point to another, they will usually give a fuel allowance and you do not pay for the van, you just have to move it from point A to point B within the timeframe give. You just have to get lucky and get a transport option that suits your plans. Trips from Places like Darwin to Perth are quite common.
  20. Sir you will find that the Mandatory Third party insurance will be automatically added to your rental agreement, however this only covers costs associated with a person. So if a person is involved in an accident with your vehicle , and you are found to be at fault. the insurance will cover their costs. You will also be presented with various "Comprehensive " insurance options that will cover different types of damage if you have an accident, these will vary in price and exactly what they cover. and you will be offered different rates depending on the Excess amount you will pay if there is an accident. Also in Australia , you will be liable for the excess even if you are not deemed at fault. I have been renting vehicles for many years for work purposes and I have found the big players, AV!s, Hurtz etc. although they are expensive, they offer the best service. It is depending on your use of the car as well., are you going to be driving around in a major city or are you going to be travelling the barren wasteland's that make up the rest of that place? Thyird party insurance is not negotiable in Australia.
  21. You would never. That's your opinion, weather we like to listen to it is completely up to us. I personally have done over 20 000 kilometers on a " big Bike" in Thailand and so far have survived with no problems. i thoroughly enjoy riding in Thailand and wont stop until age makes me.
  22. I did same about 15 years ago, i used a company called "GRACE" removalists from Brisbane https://www.grace.com.au/brisbane-removalists/ most use useful thing i brought was a full size Weber BBQ, they are crazy expensive in Thailand. Just make sure that the removalist does door to door because if you allow a local agent to be appointed the locals can gouge you on costs.
  23. Me wife and i believe that the beef industry contributes to global warming by the amount of methane the cows produce. We are firmly against the beef industry so we do our best to kill and eat as many cows as we can, piece by tasty piece. Also we only eat Vegan beef, the cows must only be raised on plants and therefore are plant based. so i guess we are environmentally aware vegans.
