"Retarius": If you live in a city, such as Pattaya or Bangkok, for example, you live in a low-energy vibration environment, so it will be very difficult to feel vibrantly alive and happy in your heart centre. If you go to bars, you will pick up the low-energy vibration of the environment (including the people) there. If you watch television, ditto. I realise that expats don't usually believe in the science of energy, but nevertheless, it's real, and we pick up the vibration of our environment and of the people we meet ... and they bring us down or, if we're lucky, they raise us up. Ideally, you should move out into the countryside where the vibration is much higher. But I'll assume you feel you can't do that. So, I recommend heart energy meditations (www.heartmath.org) and live with one of the highest vibrational animals around, cats. Get 2 or more from a cat rescue centre. You'll receive unconditional love every day and that's a high vibration! Finally, change your friends and avoid people with a low vibration.

Danish Expat Risks Prison in Thailand Over Lost Car Incident
renaissanc replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
If Søren was Australian, the Australian Embassy staff would have dealt with this matter quickly before it went to court. I expect that the Danish Embassy is as useless as the UK Embassy when you need help. -
Pattaya hosts 4th Immigration Bureau Coffee Council meeting

I'd ask them to change the Marriage Visa duration to 2 or more years and to put everything online relating to the visa. -
Thaksin, since you'll be running the government ... please reform the Marriage Visa. I've been here for 40 years (38 years married to a Thai) and I still have to renew the visa annually. The process at Imm. takes an hour each year as the same information as last year has to be typed into a computer while the Officer is interrupted many times, and this usually spreads over their lunch hour so I have to wait an hour extra. Then the Imm. Police come to my home and ask for some of the same information and take the same photographs I have provided before asking the neighbours if we live in the house. Then we have to wait a month for approval, which we drive an hour to get from the provincial Imm. office. The system is making you and your fellows look like idiots.

British family struggles with father’s funeral costs in Thailand

The British Embassy doesn't help anybody under any circumstances on any day at any time and in any way. You're on your own if you're British and you need help. -
British family struggles with father’s funeral costs in Thailand
renaissanc replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
The cremation is cheap. 3 monks. Pay them 200 Baht each and give them some food. No need for a week of partying Thai style. Give some money for the fuel. The main expense is the flight to Thailand. Get a VPN so as to reduce the UK airfare. Ampheur expense: maybe 100 Baht. -

I don't like Socialism or Communism, but it's occurred to me that my wife and I run Catdom with 25 rescued cats in that way. My wife and I are the dictators / leaders. The cats are told what to eat and the amount is controlled. The cats are all equal. They all sleep in "government-" controlled accommodation. The dictators act like the Cat Police and enforce their laws. The cats have no opportunity to elect their leaders as my wife and I control the power in Catdom. Elections are banned. Oh dear! I've become a dictator!

4 Robbers in Pathum Thani Force Chinese Millionaire to Transfer ฿70M

But the thieves won't know that or believe you if you tell them this. -
My wife and I look after 25 rescued cats and have done so for 5 years. They are very quiet at night and are happy to have a safe place to sleep on soft beds. A cat sleeps next to my wife and me every night, maybe even 2 cats. We've never got ill from having the cats. 4 sleep in the main part of the house, 19 in the Cats Room, and 2 in very large cages outside because they prefer to stay there.

trump folds and agrees to Kamala Harris debate demands,
renaissanc replied to sirineou's topic in Political Soapbox
It doesn't matter. Trump will make all the points he wants to make regardless of the biased moderators. He goes off on tangents, so it doesn't matter what the questions are. Kamala will be mincemeat and screaming with anger at the end of the debate. -

I won't buy anything Chinese as they break quickly. Chinese foods are likely to be toxic. -
Thailand's Schengen-Style Visa Proposal Faces Hurdles
renaissanc replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The government is creating new tourist visas and improving some. What about the annual Marriage Visa? I've been here 40 years and I still have to renew my Marriage Visa annually. In 22 years I'll be 90. Will I still have to drive an hour to Immigration and back (twice) and spend an hour in front of an official who has to fill in the same forms as in the previous year? Then will the Immigration Police still visit me at home and fill in similar forms and take the same photos that I have already provided? Assuming that my wife is still alive then. The Marriage Visa needs revamping and putting online. -
Two Foreign Tourists Arrested for Selling Ecstasy on Koh Phangan
renaissanc replied to webfact's topic in Koh Samui News
Stupid people! I hope they enjoy (and survive) their 20-year stay in Khlong Prem prison. -
I don't have one. If a foreigner marries a Pattaya / Bar Girl kind of woman, they should have one. My wife is different. She was a poor orphan working in a factory when we met. She helped me when I was going through hard times back then. Now we look after 25 cats together after 20+ years together.
